I would say British boxing is in the best shape for many a year.

The majority of fights which are anticipated involve one or two British boxers!

From Joshua to Fury, to Eubank Jnr, to Groves, to Saunders, to DeGale, to Haye and Belleow to Selby and Burnett

You know the old british saying "mustn't grumble" , well we really shouldn't at the moment

Its in good shape but for me personally I can't find a fighter that I really enjoy watching the way I did Hatton, Eubank SR, (Naz because I wanted to see him get beat) Michael Gomez, Paul Hunter from abroad guys like Toney, Tyson, Gatti, Morales, Katsidis, Barrera and also I liked fighters with a bit of character that really pulls you in , in recent years I enjoyed following Haye , loved some of Chisora's antics then of course Fury was always good for a bit of controversy, even though I don't rate him he got me watching.

Tony Bellew is a good example of why I think British Boxing is mainly pony these days.

The Cruiserweight World Champion and 'Paper Warrior' from Liverpool wants no part of the World Boxing Series to fleece the PPV mugs again in a non title fight with David Haye.

He mouths off that he is a warrior and willing to die in the ring etc yet won't get in there and test himself against the elite in the division where he is a World Champion.

The British boxing business is in good shape because they can sell bad fights for big money.

The actual quality of boxing and boxers is mediocre.

I think British boxing is in a good state, yet without doubt how many of the world 'champions' were genuine??

Either way it has been good publicity.

There are no fighters in the Hatton, Calzaghe, Benn, Eubank Snr, Naz mould or in with the previous greats like Buchanan, Lewis, Honeyghan etc.

Frampton was potentially in that class, Anthony Joshua is certainly a one off in many ways.

The likes of the Smith's, Bellew, McDonnell, Flanagan, Burns, Crolla etc were around the world scene, but never genuine world class fighters.

Let's be honest, most of our fighters are Garbage at World Level. When ever they travel to the States with a belt, they come back with out it and battered up,then they stay in the UK for the rest of their career,as it's so easy to fool our Boxing Casuals,to get big money. Here are some examples,Froch Outclassed by Ward,Got the Groves Fights.Hatton Destroyed by Pacquiao and Mayweather.Khan obliterated by Garcia and Canelo.Liam Smith done by Canelo.Groves done by Jack as well as De Gale.Frampton by Santa Cruz.Burns,Crolla,Campbell most by Linares.Their are so many others, these are just the ones at the top of my head.We are Overrated, compared to Mexico,Cuba and Puerto Rica.Enjoy Joshua,he is the face of British Boxing,in some ways, whatever he does, will Overmask how good British Boxers actually are

I think Josh Taylor is probably the best fighter in the UK at present, even though he hasn't won a world title yet he is the best talent here.

Joshua is just big and extremely powerful but as a boxer he is nothing special just good at the basics but he will get KO'd at some stage , I don't think he will be around at the top level in 5 years time.

When Eubank Jr beats Groves, it will be so spectacular that everyone will have no choice but to put him in that class you speak of.

Haha I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. Eubank Jr by all means aint a bad fighter, will never be in the league of his old man though.

Although he is a classy operator it is far too easy to tell how good Taylor will become. Although he boxed excellent against Davies, looking back at it now I think of that contest being about how slow and limited OD actually was/is.

    Totally agree about Joshua

I agree we have lots of business around boxing. Promoters, tv, YouTube etc and lots of prospects. But none of them apart from Joshua are elite .

They all seem to get up there then fall to dominate at top level

I think we're looking good. Personally I rate how good a boxing scene is by just how much I'm looking forward to future fights. I can't wait for all of the following..

    Joshua trying to become undisputed
    BJS vs Lemieux
    Groves vs Eubank Jr
Callum Smith hopefully coming through his semi final
Any combination of Groves, Eubank Jr, DeGale, C Smith in fact
    Selby vs Warrington
Frampton and Quigg trying to get another world title
