Would anyone be interested in seeing Jean Pascal vs. Edison Miranda now?

I remember early 2008, these two were on a collision course. They both fought on a fight card in Florida, which was supposed to pave the way to a fight between the two later that year in Canada.

However, Pascal ended up turning in a mediocre performance against Omar Pittman where he was even wobbled twice. While Miranda damn near decapitated David Banks.

Most assumed after the way those fights played out that Miranda-Pascal would be a mismatch. Pascal's team eventually had a change of heart and decided not to go through with the matchup. Instead Pascal was slated to fight Fulgencio Zuniga last summer but had to pull out due to a shoulder injury.

Fast forward to Summer 2009. Since then Pascal has lost to Carl Froch, albeit in extremely competitive fashion, and beaten Adrian Diaconu, both being fight of the year candidates. Miranda on the other hand was absolutely destroyed by Abraham and thoroughly outboxed by Andre Ward.

It seems Pascal is steadily improving while Miranda is gradually sliding. So would anyone still want to these two square off? I still think it would be an interesting fight with a good clash of styles and personalities.

Funny how much can change in a years time when it comes to Boxing.

Yeah, i remember all of that, especially on ESPN FNF when Pascal was ringside calling the Miranda/Banks fight and Tesitore said, "You want to fight THAT guy?" after he had just KOed Banks and Pascal hesitated for a second. It was funny.

But right now, Pascal would rip him apart. Just way too fast for Miranda.

Yeah, that was funny ****. They also had a hilarious press conference earlier that week. I remember Pascal telling Miranda "I'ma beat yo black ass so baaaad" and "Allan Green a joke, this is Jean Pascal."

Pascal would do the same thing that Ward did.. only he'd knock him out bad. Pascal has power while Ward.. pitty pats.

This fight would only make sense if Miranda worked his way into a mandatory position. EM ain't been right since Pavlik beat him senseless.

Allan Green would break Pascal's neck, homey, and he'd murder Miranda on the following week.

Healthy Allan Green is back bruh..

Miranda is on the downside of his career. There is no need for a fight between these guys now.

Miranda is a waste of time and a bottomfeeder, he belongs on FNF undercards fighting the Rubin Williamses of the world. Just as he was too low for Kessler, he's too low for the now-crossing-the-threshold-of-stardom Pascal. His name was worth a little something on your resume (mostly due to undeserved hype) back in 2007, not now. :good
