Dawson fought Antonio "The Magic Man" Tarver, RJJ's slayer, on regular Showtime, after one of the most aggressive hype-up campaigns of recent times, and hardly anyone cared or watched and you think they will want to pay PPV money to watch either Dawson or an unknown foreign puncher whose very name is studiously avoided by the American media and who was written off with a laugh as a possible opponent for Dawson in the first place? Diaconu is the most meaningful fights for Dawson outside Hopkins, but Dawson isn't like Pavlik; Dawson is more of a product than a fighter and there's no need to have it tarnished by some guy no one's heard of. It doesn't make business sense. A Tarver rematch makes much better sense. If you don't get it, just ask Gary Shaw and Showtime.
When you have a worldwide audience admitting Joe ( barring diehard Hopkins lovers and Calzaghe haters)won against all odds clearly against Hopkins, why when there is nothing left to prove? he won by 8-9 rounds, the only doubt was how American judges would score it, and he won so well, even the American judges went against their instructions. Dawson however, fighting a fellow American, and losing, yet stealing a decision does warrant a rematch. Calzaghe won 9 rounds ( 8 could be fair as round 10 was a draw after that obscene low blow fiasco) by working Hopkins face and body like a heavy bag, landing twice as many punches , with a vastly superior output and work rate, and making Hopkins gasp for air inbetween rounds and faking injuries to get a breather.
A worldwide audience also admitted Dawson won the fight with Johnson, even that a few people say he didn't. Same goes with Calzage beating Hopkins, most people admit it and a few say he didn't. If you added "IMO" (=In My Opinion) after a post of yours, maybe people would take you seriously. But I doubt even that, when you go around saying Calzaghe won 9 rounds in that fight. You can't back up the **** you're saying with facts and this post of yours proves it. I respect Joe and think he's a skilled, special fighter, a great champion, but you're clearly the definition of a blinded Calzaghe nuthugger.
