Agreed. The pandemic did Fury no favours, he's 34 and just getting older. Still, I think he will beat Usyk and AJ.

Agreed. If Fury were to retire tomorrow he'd have a decent case as being the 2nd greatest British HW of all time. If you don't consider Fitzsimmons British, then that decent case becomes pretty much nailed on, imo.
I can't see Fury surpassing Lewis either. He would have to beat Usyk, AJ, Joyce and reign for a few more years hoping that at least another 2 or 3 outstanding challengers emerged that he could then beat. Not impossible, but unlikely.

I don't know about him, but I'd place Fury just behind Wlad and Liston at #12 or 13. It depends, as I'd have to seriously consider whether to place him above Dempsey and Johnson.

The problem for Fury is more his lack of clean living than his age. With his lower overall number of fights, he shouldn't be very ring-worn. However, he's life-worn due to alcohol, cocaine, food, and god knows what else.

Beating Joshua proves nothing,at this point in time a win over Joyce carries more weight than a win over Joshua. Joshua at his best was very flawed to start with, beating a shell of him carries nothing but a big pay day .

Not yet and probably not ever. But if Fury beat Usyk, Joshua and Joyce I would consider it.

I agree. Styles make fights and I truly believe Joshua gives Fury a really tough fight. AJ has lost some but is still a fearsome opponent for any heavyweight. Fury is an awesome fighter and I do rate him very very highly. I would like to see him take on the danger men out there, and pad his record out with the big names before he retires. I think he can beat them all, it would be nice to find out. I am not confident it will happen though.
The Chisora match up certainly didn’t do Fury’s resume any good. It ticked a box and gave Derek a nice pot to hopefully retire on, which I don’t begrudge him one bit. But tbh, it was a bit of a slap in the face for the heavyweight division and the fans. It wasn’t nice to watch Derek take a pasting either.

The thing about Fury is if he beats Usyk, JJ and let's throw AJ in there for fun, then much like Marciano there is really nobody from his era that you could say he should have fought.

Why not beat AJ? AJ is still a top player. Just because Usyk beat him doesn't mean Fury would.

No, please do not ask a Fury fan. If I hear that, no man born of a woman nonsense again, I might end myself.

Barry McGuigan doesn't anyway. Bitterness or not you decide.

    Not enough time.

He can only take out Usyk, Joshua, Joyce, and maybe a future champ like Hrgovic or Anderson to get close.

I'm a fanboy and I'm finding it hard. Those 3 years out didn't help him at all.
