My point was, Fury never beat anyone as good as peak Holyfield. I stand by that 100%.

Would you entertain this conversation if he beats Usyk?

Lennox Lewis would beat Fury 9 out of 10 times.
But Lewis would beat him every time in the rematch.

Well in the professional ranks Fury has held every major world title, Lennox never captured the WBO strap. Vitali Klitschko held the WBO belt when Lewis fought Holyfield for the second time for 'undisputed'.

No one considered the WBO anything back then. Was still more "fringe" then respected.

Yes he feasted on fighters past their best unlike Fury who took on a prime Wlad.

Lennox gets KO'd 9 times out of 10 and might win 1 rematch if he's lucky.

Hide, Vitali, Byrd or Wlad who all held the WBO around that time would have been far better opponents than Grant or even John Ruiz who was another fighter Lewis ducked.

I can tell you have little sense of actual history, being into boxing, for very long. Who cares if those guys were better than Grant.

When Holy and Lewis unified, the WBO was not a major belt. So what significance is it not being in the mix when Holy v Lewis unified? None at all. They didn't include the NABF North American HW title either.

Regardless it doesn't change the fact Fury has more belts in his cabinet than Lewis has.

If he beats Usyk unifies and then beats AJ I would sure. Even though AJ doesn't have the same luster since losing his title to Usyk, his career is always going to be associated with Tyson's and Tyson knows that.

No , lol. Who has Tyson beat? Wilder, Klitschko and who else? Lennox has way more memorable wins for crying out loud. Also LL is a head to head beast. They be talking about prime Bowe would break fury's ribs, well Lennox would do just that without hesitation. Or rather, he would get the w and get er done with the eye of the tiger that Manny (rest in peace) loved so much, either by boxing cautious like vs Tua, out brawling him like Vitali or putting in a masterclass like vs Tyson or wailiting for the kill for Rahman! Just my opinion but he's a whole other animal. Plus if Tyson fury beats him, there's always the rematch (yikes!!!) Considering LLs rematch stats...

I mean Tyson fury can do it all but Lennox doesn't need every trick in the book to beat the dosser.

I think you are being a little one-sided in your assessment there. You want to include a loss to Mercer. Well that's fine, but at the same time, it's widely held that Lewis won both fights against Holyfield.

And whilst I agree that Usyk is a generational talent, it is fair to say he would likewise be outside his prime, and his track record of injuries suggest his body is breaking down (an extensive amateur career will add wear and tear). Also, both him and Holyfield were/are of similar age:

When Holyfield - Lewis 1 happened, Holyfield was 36 years and 4 months.
When Holyfield - Lewis 2 happened, Holyfield was 37 years and 0 months.

IF Fury - Usyk 1 happens say in April, Usyk will be 36 years and 2 months.

Basically, if you throw stones at the Holyfield win, you have to do the same at any potential Usyk win.
