Would anyone like to see Hatton v Witter - if Witter wins the vacant WBC belt?

It would probably be Ricky's last world title shot and the only place left to go. Have a shot at his long term rival and British World champion Witter.

That is if of course Witter wins the vacant belt.

Witter should tell Hatton to go **** himself. Hatton hasn't earned the right to fight Witter. Hatton had plenty of chances to fight Junior and blew him off every time. Hatton is now a has been. If I were Witter I wouldn't even consider a fight with him.

No, I wouldnt wanna see this. Witter would want this as it would still be the biggest payday he will ever get. Hatton should quit. He doesnt need to fight Witter.

Who else is Witter going to fight to make the kind of money he could against Hatton?

i had to laugh at that...

you're criticising a guy who took all the chances in the world, seized the moment, and got to fight 2 of the best fighters of his generation against a fighter who spent half his career complaining that 'ricky hatton won't fight me' - but never took nearly as many risks.

thank god you're not a promoter.

Pretty much. This is the same reason why I sided w/ Marbury during the whole Knicks benching fiasco. There's gotta be some principle involved.

If hatton fights again it will be against khan if he beats koltenik rather than against witter

Hatton was a carefully manufactured product. There is a good reason why he never wanted to fight Witter. Witter had all the tools to make Ricky look bad, but simply didn't have the name recognition. Hatton has spent years completely shitting all over Witter. If Witter has any dignitiy, he would tell Ricky to **** off. Or, if he does fight Ricky, he should demand a significant purse.
