Would anyone like to see Hatton v Witter - if Witter wins the vacant WBC belt?

I'd like to see it. Their both at the tail end of their careers and as the saying goes, better late than never.

thats true earlier in hatton's career but look at what hatton has achieved since he dumped warren and that's why he's in the driving seat.

i agree this fight could have been made earlier in hatton's career when they were on level terms - but when you talk about witter's "dignity" it's the lack of self-respect he had in his own career to take the chances that hatton did that ended up creating the gulf between the two of them.

Considering how bad Hatton's chin looked, and the fact that he's very unlikely to become an elite level guy again, I expect that he'll fight Khan instead.

More money, more credit for the victory, and an easier fight.

I agree with the sentiments in part, but Witter would still like a payday so I think he'd take the fight. He still needs a payday of Hatton more than Hatton needs his belt.

Who knows, yesterday has left Hatton's current ability in disaray to the point that know ones really knows where he is at. One thing is for sure, he won't be getting the chance to fight the likes of Pacman or Floyd Jr again.

He could get a decent payday for fighting Bradley, and increased legacy for beating him, that's an option. But if Witter became the WBC World champion surely the appeal of an all British, long time feuding, world title fight could sway Hatton to have his fight with Witter. He doesn't really have much else to lose. Surely if Hatton is so much better than Witter as you think you would like to see him tune up Witter and end his career on a high note winning a world title, rather than laying on the canvas of a 2 round devastating knock out?

I don't know who'd win, that's why I want the fight, as someone else said, both are coming to the end of their careers, so why not? I think I'd still favour Hatton, but who knows, eh?

And as for Malignaggi beating Witter, perhaps, a decision. I'm not so sure. Witter isn't a bad fighter....he's only lost twice, once to a prime Judah and again to a very talented Bradley.

Sorry, dude, I was gonna reply but my body was convulsing due to my uncontrollable laughter. That being said, Hatton is one of the most coddled fighters of recent times. Especially for a fighter who remained in the same weight division for the duration of his career sans 2 fights. The dude literally fought exclusively cans for damn near the first 40 bouts of his career - certainly the first 35 - which got him this groundswell of support. Fighting over 35 consecutive cans for a meaningless belt is ok . . . if you've got 100 and change bouts on your resume but when it caps out at under 50 that means that you've wasted alotta time in the ring.

The thing that I found most impressive about Ricky's cans is that he would pick the cans that were seemingly formidable by looking at record alone . . . and then once you realize that they've fought even worse opposition than he has it all comes into perspective. He is not this great world class p4p fighter that many have alleged him to be. He doesn't even possess a sound grasp of the fundamentals. Move your head, use your jab, don't drop your hands, clinch when you're hurt. Oh, well. It is what it is. So, no, he didn't take all the chances in the world. In fact, he tried as hard as he could not to take all the chances in the world but, alas, those claiming him to be so great forced him to have to eventually attempt to prove it and that became his downfall.

Principal-wise, your spot on...financialy speaking, it would be foolish on Witter's part, cause the fight would most likely happen over there and that would be nothin' but ****load of money.

i think the fight with pac has taken everything out of hatton and in my opinion he is now shot regardless of weather or not he still has enough to beat witter he should retire he has the money he has ruled lww since 2005 that is enough he has gone as far as he can go

I would but Hatton would get hurt again. There's a reason he never fought Witter.

I hope Witter fights Hatton and that he gets a 60 -40 purse for it, then I hope he knocks his ass out so all his pathetic fans can see he was nothing but hype his whole career.

Regardless of who people think will win, I'm glad the majority opinion is that this fight should happen.

If Hatton was to fight again, I dont think Witter would still be on his radar, i think the likes of Khan, Bradley and Campbell would be who he would set his sights on.
