Would Audley Harrison beat David Price in a rematch if they fought now?

    Audley, remarkably, has a 100% record in rematches.

    4 times he has vanquished the guy who previously beat him.

    Price has been KOd in his last 2 fights, to a greater or lesser extent exposed as a domestic/European level fighter and we now know for certain he has very fragile punch resistance.

    If they were to fight tomorrow night, how would you see it going?

    No it's not a wind up at all.

    They are both such mentally fragile characters it is a total game changer.

    For Audley to conquer in all his rematches it shows that second time around he loses the fear factor. And displays his skills that won him all his amateur titles.

    In his losses first time around he is scared s***less as to what the worse that can happen to him is? Second time around he KNOWS, so boxes without inhibition and relaxed.

    He is a total, frustrating conundrum.

    Price was quite Audley-esque in his ringwalk to Price vs Thompson II, he looked PETRIFIED!

    Price lost badly to Thompson, but Thompson is completely different proposition than Audley.

    Who would be taken in by another comeback and a fight against a credible opponent (even if Price's credibility has taken two large dents of late)? Who is buying tickets for this fight?

    What will it take for people to forget about Harrison and let sleeping bums lie?

    Ahem, well they are not THAT different propositions tbf.

    Both southpaw

    Both 6'5 & 1/2

    Both 41 years old (this part will never make pleasant reading for Price)

    The differences

    Audley hits much harder.

    Thompson is an Alpha Male with the heart of a lion, Audley is a Bully who needs to know he will win before he starts throwing punches.

    I still have this crazy notion Audley would spark Price in a rematch :lol:

    going by the first fight I'd say Audley has a great chance in a rematch. Just look at the evidence, before the KO he was racking up the points and on his way to assured victory. The ref stopped it far too early, you could see Harrison getting back into the fight.
