This content is protected We know that Holmes couldn't beat Southpaws and Jalolov is a powerful 6'7, 250lb 2x Olympic gold medalist southpaw. Would Holmes treat Jalolov like Cooney or is Jalolov stylistically all wrong for Larry Holmes
We send Jalalov back in a time machine, Holmes tries to make the fight in 82, Jalalov declines because he wants to try to win a medal in Los Angeles in 1984. He can't help himself.
Holmes is unproven vs southpaws and struggled with one in the amateurs so its possible. He was stopped twice by Nick Wells as an amateur. That being said, Jalolov does not have the stamina. He is totally unproven at the pro level. Holmes would likely get stunned early, get defensive and then batter Jalolov once the big man tires. If you want to pick a leftie to beat Holmes, at least pick a great one like Usyk and i will probably agree with you. BTW what is the boxing evolution here? Jalolov does nothing extraordinary in terms of technique. He throws the same jab-left hand over and over again. He has size and he has terrific power and he has perfected the jab-cross combo that fighters 100 years ago mastered. What techniques is he using that past fighters did not? Dude rarely if ever throws uppercuts or lead hooks so what does he do that is so fancy?
