How competitive was Floyd vs Canelo in your mind? I'm not talking about how many rounds did Canelo win, but I just mean in terms of the overall competitiveness of the bout compared to Floyd's other opponents?

I do not disagree that he'd likely beat any version of Canelo. That wasn't my argument. Unfortunately we were never given the opportunity to find out for ourselves if that was to be the case, as it is apparent that Floyd was not willing to take that risk and had Canelo drain himself down until he was nothing but was skin and bone, to ensure Canelo had no strength or energy to sustain himself for 12 rounds

I think Floyd's legacy actually takes a huge hit if Canelo beats GGG. However, if GGG beats Canelo Floyd's legacy goes through the roof, IMO.

Canelo was beaten but he did a decent job at times he showed good defense and made pbf miss. You could tell that he was thinking way too much in there. He was just in with someone who stylistically was a bad match up for him.

Calm down and stop making a fool of yourself with nonsensical emotional outbursts, which make you sound like a deranged madman.

Trout was nothing, what is Trout doing today if he was so great?

So what if he beat a past prime Cotto who had a bad night. one swallow doesn't make a summer. This is the problem with foolish fans like yourself - a boxer can have one good fight and you will propel them into super stardom and start heralding them as the next ATG.

Canelo was inexperienced and drained down to the point of looking like a corpse before he got in the ring with Floyd. That cannot be disputed.

Pbf was past his best. He was fighting in his 5th weight class against a guy who dwarfed him in the ring. Didn't oscar make old man Hopkins come down and fight him at a catchweight? Oscar like pbf are the A side canelo nor Hopkins had no problems accepting this deal. Both wanted to be great and both took the fight. Canelo wasn't drained he was simply outboxed and outclassed there's no shame in it.

Yes he did make Hopkins come down however the difference is Hopkins had years of experience at the top level going through weight classes when he fought Hopkins.

Canelo was a skeleton for the first time in his career as a 23 year old against arguably the best fighter of this generation in that weight class.

There is no way you can argue that Canelo stood little chance with the disadvantages placed against him going into the fight.

Stop it it's always easier to cut weight when you're younger than when you're old. Hopkins was over 40 when he fought oscar.

    Silence fool.

The fight was fought at 152lbs. 3 years later when Canelo was bigger he made 154 lbs no problem against Smith.

He looks ripped and shredded like that at every weigh- in. The weight was not the issue.

Canelo fought Liam Smith, a euro bum. And he did not come into the fight with sunken cheeks and his rib cage showing, he looked healthy at 154lbs and actually looked like he was in a condition to fight, as his body had adapted to cycling up and down in weight by then.

Looks like he devoured his own stomach. He was healthier looking when he fought Mayweather.
