Yer I don't really see him as a force to any welters of any significance, as he never really adjusted to the weight that well and didn't appear to carry any power up.

You don't know **** about boxeo chico.

Cotto would be Floyds best win just like its Pac. (I don't count it though cause it wasn't a fair figh). That's why I rank Cotto higher than Floyd and Pac. Think about it chico. Beating Floyd wouldn't be Cotto best win but it would be for Floyd. Same goes for Pac, if it was a fair fight Cotto wouldve knocked him out frio, cold and it wouldn't have been in Cottos top 5. People wouldve said Pac was overrated, too little, marital problems, the ref has gambling problems and of course the mustache was too big excuse. So Cotto >Floyd>Pac

OK...I was all set to co-sign your post here, since ranking the Hatton win above either Castillo win is absurd...

    Then all this **** happened:

That's a solid post without any holes in it at all. Good logic

Nah. I'm not even sure why this fight was made. Cotto is absolutely no match for Floyd at any weight class nowadays.

Beating Cotto is a good win for any fighter just as long as everything is fair.

Cotto would be a nice feather in his cap and Im sure it will be a great fight as are all his fights to me. However I feel that his biggest win was Oscar because with that win he was able to make that step up into the really big money. That fight took him to another level.:bbb

It would fall somewhere in significance between Hatton and Oscar, in terms of big wins. But, his biggest (legacy defining) wins were against Hernandez, Castillo, and Corrales, as others have mentioned.

who cares about money though? when i say best win, i'm talking about a victory relative the the threat that fighters have posed to floyd's 0, NOT what fight put his name on the map.

With that said, I can see why people would put Genaro, Corrales, and MAYBE DLH above Cotto.

While I respect everyone's opinion, I do not see how any RATIONAL fan would believe that Hatton posed any serious threat to FLoyd, especially at 147, when he clearly struggled to Collazo.

As for the Corrales fight, I believe Floyd exposed Corrales much like B-hop did Pavlik, Joe C did lacy, etc... By exposed, I dont mean Corrales was terrible fighter. I just mean that a fighter like Corrales can easily be beaten by a pure boxer who sticks to a gameplan and doesnt slug it out. With all that said, this victory was definitely FLoyd's most IMPRESSIVE by far, not including the Gatti beat down.

As for DLH, I just think DLH was too much of a part time fighter at the point they fought. But, he was a good win nonetheless.

I cant comment on the Genaro fight b/c I'm not familiar with the circumstances surrounding it.

Hatton, the true and linear champion of the world with a win over Kosta Tszyu? Cotto who has never been a world champion is better than Hatton and there is no room for debate? It's close to say the least.

Those are good enough choices. Cotto is just another sloppy contender that will get slapped around. I don't see him doing much better than Gatti did.

I'm not sure how you can call cotto a sloppy contender, considering he posesses a skillset better than hatton, corrales, and castillo
