Would beating the winner of Taylor/Froch convince you of Kessler's "greatness"?

I'm not particulary a fan, I'm just asking in a round about way what a win over the winner of Taylor and Froch would do for him - and what else he might need to do to convince people of his ability to rank/rate him highly?

I did stick the word greatness in inverted commas...
