    Although many fighters have fouled from time to time, very few other than Hopkins have had illegal tactics as THE most important part of their fight plan.

    For example, Mike Tyson's MAIN fight plan seemed to be to get inside and KO his opponents with clean hard punches. But Hopkins is too feather-fisted and too poorly skilled to fight within the rules.

    The only part of Hopkins game that I hate is when he pretends to be hurt, doesnt get anymore pathetic than that.

    Even without clinching and his rule bending, Hopkins would be very good. However there is no doubt if a ref docked him points from cheap shots, he might slip a little in terms of his standing.

    In that clip I counted 2 LEGITIMATE scoring punches from Calzaghe The rest were ILLEGAL slaps. Where did Hopkins foul???:patsch

    If Hopkins wasn't a foul master, he would have had a good career when younger, but not as good or with the such longevity.
