    Clearly not.
If the Zaveck fight showed anything it's how hittable Berto is.

i actually think Mayweather wanted berto more. he was amazed at Ortiz fight how easy Berto was getting caught. Wide open for that straight right hand.

Didnt see the fight but id have to say id of seen Berto of a **** poor threat against Mayweather and regarldess of anytihng that might of happened last night my opinion would not of changed.

Ortiz is a typical opponant for Mayweather, nobody thought to match them up for obvious reasons, Ortiz is NOT on Mayweathers level. But had 1 terrific night where everybody started to get a little overexcited and before you know it he is seen as a credible opponant for Floyd when in reality he isnt and never was.

So neither, both Ortiz and Berto are decent but neither are anything more than a good nights work out for Floyd and Floyd knows it or wouldnt even be having this fight.

I agree but would point out that it's not Floyd's fault he's so good that no one else (with the exception of Pac/Martinez) is a credible opponent. I also think that whilst Ortiz may not be a threat to Floyd, he is a credible opponent in that he is a champion level fighter and will at least entertain for the entire 12 round UD he is destined to lose.

nope. Him and Berto share a manager who is not about to let his two top guys take each other out. That's why Mayweather never bothered trying to get a challenge or a mando for Berto's WBC belt.

You think Floyd gives two shits what his manager wants? He's proven time and again hes out for himself, if Berto had beat Ortiz then that is the fight we'd be seeing Floyd in. Whether his manager didnt want his other fight to get ****ed up or not. Not to mention a fight with Floyd would probably make Berto more than he'd earn in the rest of his career regardless, hence making the manager more as well.

The only advantage I see in either Ortiz or Berto in fighting Mayweather in the future is AGE Floyd is starting to get up there in a age where he soon will have to start relying on experience to get him through fights and not just his speed because these guys are young and have good speed to match him Floyd will be 35 come February that's the problem with Mosley now he is to old to rely on speed which he no longer has and his reflexes are shot that's why he gets hit more often now than he did when he was in his twenties.

Considering his manager is the shadow man Al Haymon and is the real gears behind Mayweather Promtions, yes I actually do think he gives a **** what Al Haymon says.

Besides, why didn't he fight Berto when he came back, or during the entire year after the Mosley fight since all he would have to do would be go over to Jose Sulaiman and say, "make me the mandatory"?
