Boots is one of the most offensively skilled fighters I've ever seen. People say Boots gets hit alot but I think he has an iron chin and rolls with the punches. Sugar Ray Leonard would be a big favorite over Boots but I think it would be a competitive fight

Goes without saying that the fight would be competitive. Boots physical advantages keeps him in this fight but to suggest at this stage that Boots wins is sort of laughable and disrespectful. I’m a Boots fan but he’s fought nobody within the stratosphere of the level of competition that Leonard fought AND BEAT. You repeatedly put up countless hypotheticals of UNPROVEN fighters v HOFers and all time greats. You’re like a kid w ADHD in a candy store. Can we at least see how he fares v a legitimate championship level 154 lber BEFORE you begin the discussion??? Let’s see him impress v an Ortiz, Fundora or Murt THEN perhaps suggest the hypothetical.

Resumes don't win fights kid. Boots is the one of the most talented fighters I've ever seen. I think he can hang with the greats and I'll gladly get criticized for my opinion because Boots just needs the big fights to prove me right

Maybe, but loses in the end. In his prime SRL only lost to GOATS. Ennis is very good, but not an ATG.

Better fighters expose flaws that lesser fighters do not. We haven't seen Boot's flaws put onto to proper display because he hasn't faced the quality competition that would expose them. And I think Boots is very good too.

You finally proposed an intelligent question Must have heeded my advice and took your medication ;)

Both very tough fights to pick. I believe oddsmakers would make Boots the favorite in both but certainly not wide and I expect odds to move/fluctuate based on their respective fans betting on them. I never wager who I want to win. I wager who I expect to win. I’d likely take Boots v either but he’ll have to be on his A game to win. If either Ortiz or Fundora landed at the clip Karen was, then Boots will not prevail. If Karen possessed any power then perhaps that fight ends differently. Then again, maybe Boots approaches that fight more intelligently if Karen had more pop. There are more questions with Boots than answers. Staniosis is his best win by far but he still ate some solid shots. If he doesn’t tighten up his defense especially at 154 and beyond, he will not become the fighter many expected him to be. His offense is great but his defense is seriously lacking. Fighting the caliber of fighter he fights next is not endearing him to fans. I believe Boots has more talent than what he has shown so far but I also believe he can take out Ortiz and Fundora late. Both fascinating fights. Hearn and Boots need to step up and issue the challenge.

Ennis has probably seen all of Leonard's fights where as Leonard has never seen Ennis fight nor is he familiar with 12 rounders and modern referring, gloves etc.

So I can definitely see Ennis being competitive in this match up.

I really try my hardest not to put down other posters or get baited into arguments but you have the attention span of a toddler and post some mind boggling stupid **** here. At this point, I’ll just quote Twain and leave it at that….“Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference”.
