I honestly don't think the # of weight classes is the problem as much as the # of *AHEM* World champs is.

Not only should there be 1 belt per division but there should be a HUGE bonus for being the champ. That would force the best to fight the best.

it would be more exciting but 5 division is exagerated.

what happens when a middleweight starts to get a little bit old and can no longer make the 160lb limit. all of a sudden he is fighting guys who are training down to the 190lb limit?

Exactly. Five divisions is too few. It would severely disadvantage some boxers.

I just focused on the 1 belt. I wasn't gonna touch the 5 divisions because I knew ya'll woudl handle that for me.

If you add light heavy, featherweight, bantam, and flyweight it would be much better.

I fully agree. I also wonder what the landscape would be if wiegh-ins happened on fight day?? With the current system it's almost a circus show where: "He who can lose the most wieght and still be healthy 24 hours later, will rise to the top." It is an obvious part of the game at the top where all the guys come into the ring 10-15 lbs. more than they weighed in.

No... i like the weights the way they are,

but i agree 100% on the belts... if there was NO OTHER BELT BUT ONE everything would be better.
