    nice argument..

Because great talents could be wasted.. And there is the thing, as Belanio said, that it's the percentage difference, not the lbs difference.

you really need to be subjective..

Hatton at JWW: Beat Kostya Tszyu, Carlos Maussa and Jose Luis Castillo

Hatton at WW: Had a close fight with Luis Collazo and took a beating against Floyd Mayweather..

Alright, let's say he didn't own, but he was certainly better than at WW.. Fighters should fight at equal terms, and 5 division is just ridicolous.

well that would definitely be better than just the 5, and i could live with that if it happened. But if it were up to me, I would probably just leave the weight classes the way they are now, or at least something similar.

We dont need less divisons or belts necessarily:nono But thats a awhole other can of worms.

We need 1 real Champ per division, not 6:nono And 1 Champ that defends against the top opponents:good

Why should a small guy have to change his body shape in order to participate in the sport? That's the thing about having weight divisions, smaller guys can compete, unlike in football. The weight classes should reflect the variety of sizes people come in (when they're in shape, of course). Ricardo Lopez may have walked around at 127 but I bet he wouldn't have been anywhere near as effectice a fighter at that weight.

Actually I like the idea of a super heavyweight division, but I know it wouldn't be a popular idea. Maybe I just like it because I'm about 210 at the moment and I like the idea of being kept away from the monsters.
