I have BoxNation and it seems the UK fights are of dubious quality at times but the fights from other countries are normally much better quality. Do you think Boxnation would be bettre off just showing fight from the USA and other countries?
I dont know if you could say it would be better, but it does seem to be quantity over quality. If they only had overseas fights, would it cost more? would less people subscribe? Id say yes to the latter. Wouldnt be feasible, although Id prefer loads of cards from across europe and the like than some of the mis matches we;ve seen.
so basically what you are saying is the only fights that are any good on boxnation are the ones that f****** isnt making?
I was just thinking that. The only thing that BN is useful for is picking up the overseas fights that don't show up on Sky's radar, so the ideal for me would be if they just focus on that. I don't want to see good British fighters and fights being further deprived of the exposure that they need and deserve. None of the fighters are growing from this, apart from maybe a few prospects that are getting out there a little more regularly than they otherwise would be. Yes the network would garner even less attention, but it's never going to be less than a niche channel anyway. Knock the price down a few quid and just concentrate on niche overseas fights for the hardcore base. All in all I can't imagine that BN would make much less as a result, as presumably the bulk of the budget is going towards Frank's shows atm.
Boxnation would improve if they actually show some boxing on a regular basis- two cards a week isn't too much to ask!
They need to show boxing every week. If they had 2 cards (as promised) then we would not have missed out when Ginger decided to pull out.
