Would Brook-Khan have been different had they fought say 8 or 10 years ago?

Would/Did Jones-Hopkins go differently in their primes?

What I've noticed is when you have only the past-prime fight, people will always say the guy that won that would've won the fight in both guys respective peaks.

I think Khan would beat Brook Prime for Prime. Brook was getting outboxed there for a minute, Khan has just shrunken and aged worse, probably not on much exogenous help.

If Khan thought he could have beat him 10 years ago then he would have fought him. Saved Brook for his cash out when he would have got peanuts to lose against anyone else at the end of his career

This fight despite him bieng in his most shot condition shows Brook (a career welter) was always too big and too strong for Khan.

A version of Khan at 140 might have managed to survive to outbox him over 12 with workrate, but that's a small window of success.

The only welters he could ever really handle were never true welters anyway!

We had an entire era of welterweights who weren't really welterweights that skewed perception. Then came along Spence and everyone was like oh snap, no thanks. Floyd was like nope i'll go now. Pacquiao took a little more risk but lost because of it.

Thankgod Pacquiao Spence got cancelled. It would have been savage.

Don't mess with big dudes, especially bigger younger (and sexier) dudes!

in that period before Spence came knocking we had Porter, Brook & Thurman the ignored true welters stuck in the blackhole of Pacquiao & Floyd.

khan was a multi flawed manufactured product celebrity boxer with a high profile and big desperate fanbase purely because his south asian race never can produce top boxers to save their lives.

brook was the real deal. outcome would have always been the same.

shame such an inferior boxer had the much higher profile but thats how things work in this sport sometimes unfortunately, look how eubank jr is far more well known than beterbiev and josh taylor.

Brook was always much better than Khan but Khan cheated Brook out of that extra level of stardom and status by ducking him for a decade

Yes, it would've been a repeat of Prescott-Khan.

That sudden mid-thirties acne might indicate otherwise. Not knocking him, just pointing it out. He was certainly conditioned about as well as could be and stood up to a shellacking.

Khan's feet are fast, Brook's are much more intelligent. The difference between footspeed and footwork. Kell would always have gotten to him, and it wouldn't necessarily have taken long.

Khan wouldn't have looked as punchy, but I feel brook woulda still caught him.

Brook is just the much naturally bigger man. It's akin to expecting all those 140 pounder featherfists, career 140 pounders, and blown up 135 pounders E-Spence has forged a career beating up on to beat him. As with them, the bigger man's strength, physicality and power advantages that come with that size are a massive asset.

If Khan and Brook were naturally the same size it would be different. Not saying Khan definitely beats him if they were but it would certainly even it up big time.
