the press conference would be hilarious, bruno dropping jokes about being big, and valuev asking him out for a cup of tea.
This version of Bruno had too much nervous energy . Like the Witherspoon fight Bruno tanks late and stopped by Valuev late.
No he would lose because he wasn`t as quick as Haye and always relied on his long reach, just putting a weak jab out there and saying get past that because I have a big right hand ready like a poor man`s AJ, Valuev would counter every jab because Frank would always be in his massive range plus Frank never moved his head after punching so he was easy to counter if your arms were long enough.
Holy was finished by the time he fought Valuev and Haye beat this guy because he nearly knocked him out and Val didn`t land a punch all night.
If Haye caught Bruno the way he caught Valuev and had him in big he would of finished Frank who fell apart whenever he was hurt, I say Valuev wins because of his better chin.
Valuev is rubbish.just a big freak show .if you want to know what happens in this fight watch spoon v Ekcland from 89! .thats what happens when a world class fighter with power meets a giant with no talent.TIMBER!!!!!
Bruno hit harder but Valuev was only wobbled by one punch his whole career. I don't see how 86 Bruno is going to ko Valuev and if he pushes the pace to do that he will gas out.
Y’know, that shot by Haye that wobbled Valuev for probably the first time in his career, that was also the last clear shot he ever took as well because he retired soon after that fight.
For a guy who you describe as being just a giant with no talent and was just a big rubbish freak show, he had quite a good career though didn’t he? A career record of 50-2, a heavyweight title and he may have the distinction of being called the biggest and heaviest heavyweight titleholder in history, for some time yet.
Valuev's best wins were all disputable, if not outright bad, decisions. A 24 year old Bruno was no great fighter but he'd batter the slow giant with his jab. People say Bruno doesn't have the mobility but it's all relative. Valuev makes him look like a Fred Astaire in there.
not sure being the "biggest" for some time to come is something to boast about. but you think so. Perhaps you are a Dustin Nichols fan. Best win - John Ruiz? beaten by a light middleweight, for crying out loud. Hes wasnt terrible, he had some world class ability, but the definitive middler for sure. And the next best - Jameel Mcline? thats a long way down. Again not terrible at all, but a dubious world title opponent for sure. his best boast haha was how down to earth he was, IMHO. He was true gent, they dont come often in the HW charade these days.
Valuev was a great story though. I remember seeing him years before they dragged him out of obscurity and built him into a contender. He was always a sideshow, not a proper talent. His sheer size got him wins against fourth rate opposition but it wasn't until the post Lewis era the promoters got him ranked and somehow managed to get him a world title belt. Bruno wasn't an awful lot better but at least a bit better with decent basic skills and ample power.
Bit of an icon in Russia, with him at the Winter games ceremony and such, and no doubt to return at the Cup this year, as well as a dozen roles in youth sports and movies. Kinda like Andre the giant, with luck he wont go the same way too soon (the giants usually suffer heart issues early in life, sadly). I hope hes still doing ok, but I expect he will be the first of the recent HW crowd to pass away. His likely large scale/state funeral will give David Haye something to milk, like he does, that sad mf.
