You you beat the guys in front of you in such an impressive and in a way that no one has done before then yes its impressive... Lemme break it down for you since you dont seem to get it.

Fulgencio Zuniga - A very tough guy that wears down opponents, had never before been stopped and was stopped on cuts by Pavlik, the argument on wether or not if it would have been stopped or not, well Zuniga had a huge gash and if it wouldda kept going Pavlik still would have stopped him.

Bronco McCart - Experienced fighter, fought Winky 3x, lost three times but were all close. Had never in 48 professional fights never been stopped, Pavlik stopped him in 6.

Jose Luis Zertuche - Olympic fighter for Mexico, never been knocked down, a solid top contender, Kelly handed him his first KD and KO.

Edison Miranda - What can i say bout this guy, a top tier fighter, handed loses to many prospects like Willy Gibbs, and Allan Green, first to KO Howard Eastman, never been down, was KD and KO by Pavlik.

Jermain Taylor - Linear MW Champ, wins over Hopkins, never been down, was KD n KO by Pavlik.

Pavlik beat all of them by KO and when he wasnt supposed to and impressively, that being said, were they special wins on how he won? Yes they were. Is it safe to say that hes special based on the things hes done? The answer is YES, no doubt about it.

It should also be mentioned as to how they were KO'ed. Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor = OUT COLD.

Unlike Pavlik, Kessler had shown the past ability to fight well off the backfoot and circle, Pavlik has not.

    You know nothing.

Calzaghe could outbox Pavlik but he won't. He throws a lot of punches because he likes to fight. He doesn't dance around on the outside picking them off, he lets his hands go. If Kessler would have let his hands go a little more the fight would have been closer. Joe definetly outclassed him and showed why he has been the champ for 10 years. He is a great fighter and his style will be a hard one to beat. I don't see the point of him going up in weight though. I wouldn't say he has a lot of power and so I don't think the added weight would do him any better. There are plenty of fights at supermiddle still with all the up and coming challengers and possibly even Pavlik. I still think that has the most potential for fights around that weight. IT would be explosive beacuse both fighters come to fight and both fighters let their hands go. Calzaghe is more elusive but doens't have the power to put Pavlik out and Pavlik is more one dimensional but can box and has the power to put fighters to sleep. He has done so in his last 5 fights to those who have never been KOed or down before (Zuniga, McKart, Zertuche, Miranda, and Taylor). All but McKart were big strong middleweights with solid chins and McKart was the crafty vet who had several tough fights with Winky. I don't know, I see it being a great fight that either fighter could prevail but I think the youth and hunger of Pavlik and his strength beats Calzaghe. Either way, best fight that could be made for either fighter which is why we probably won't see it but here's to hoping.

Calzaghe won't fight at SM so no Pavlik fight will happen

Calzaghe has a superior chin to Taylor and is a physically stronger fighter who isnt suddenly going to wilt like Taylor did( I'm still shocked at the way Taylor just collapsed)
Miranda has no defense. JC isnt going to get tagged like that every rd no way!

But fair play to Pavlik, he is a dangerous fighter and will be great at super middle

I love Pavlik and respect Joe, I think he is a great boxer and would be a true test for Pavlik. I'm not saying Pavlik would for sure win. I think it would be a great fight. Give me a better fight for either fighter. Pavlik is huge and so is Calzaghe, it would be a big money fight. Calzaghe may get more for fighting Hopkins but who would want to see that. Whether you like him or not, Pavlik deserves respect for what he did in the last year in a half and Calzaghe for what he has done the last 10 years. I like Pavlik so of course I think he will win but I think it will be his toughest fight and I think the same should be said for Calzaghe, he hasn't faced anyone with Pavliks power AND workrate. The combination of those two things is a big problem for any fighter as is Calzaghe speed and craftiness. After watching the Calzaghe fight, I can't think of a fight I would rather see either one take.

maybe pavlik is the one not interested in fighting right now and wants to establish a legacy of his own at MW before moving up.

No way does Pavlik catch Calzaghe more than Kessler. He may have more power at 168 (even that's debatable) but hes not as fast, not as accurate and doesnt put combinations together as well as Kessler. Calzaghe would dominate Pavlik, it would be worse than he did to Lacy.

What really makes me laugh is now that Kessler has been dealt with the Calzaghe haters immediately grab another fighter as the answer to JC , Its pretty pathetic really, First Jose & co were touting Lacy - Result...??..... one of the most one sided schoolings given that I have ever seen then the mob lofted their Kessler banner & again using different tactics from his repertoire Joe won covincingly becoming UNDISPUTED champion in the process.......
This time however the idiots have really got their man for Joe , A middleweight than can bang a bit...........!!!!!! PLEASE.....Sure he has a shot but his workman like style would be a dream come true for Calzaghe who ,just like he did against the other dangermen, would box his way to another straighforward victory , Seriously do you think a man who has seen off Eubanks experience , Lacy's power & Kesslers timing & accuracy really is going to get beat by a fighter who was nearly taken out by Taylor..............****ING GROW UP & BE SERIOUS !!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Pavlik wanting to stay at middleweight which he said but he also wants to unify the belts and I don't see either one of the others risking their meal ticket to fight him. It would be nice to see him get a couple of defenses first in order to work on some kinks and technique but I don't see Calzaghe staying around much longer either so time is a factor. Plus who are legitamite threats at middleweight that deserve a shot besides Abraham. I just think it would be a great fight and would love to see it.

Pavlik or Taylor, would be outclassed by Calzaghe or Kessler. I'd have thought that was obvious.

I'm a fan of both KP and JC. I think it would be a ripper, though I'd have to make JC the favorite because he's so damn versitile and fast. But do not underestimate Pavlik's abilities, he's a damn good fighter, faster than people give him credit, and not just high-output bomb thrower. Once he got through the 2nd round nightmare with Taylor, he defended himself much better and controlled the ring. Give him credit for beating a very good fighter in Taylor. You know Taylor, the guy who beat the current top 3 P4P guy twice in a row. Also, anyone who thinks KP's power won't follow him up to 168 is nuts. The guys a freakin' beanpole and he'll put on 8 lbs. of solid power muscle. Doubt the fight will happen though as they are 15 lbs. apart now in weight.
