Would Calzaghe have been "Hattoned" if he had stepped up like Ricky?

Roy Jones has got no chin. none.

Folds like a cheap suit under the slightest bit of pressure and got KTFO in 1 round by an Australian scaffolder.

He is a disgrace to iron chinned warriors everywhere

Calzaghe had an amazing chin (Look at the shots he took in the Robin Reid and Mikkel Kessler fights) I highly doubt he would have been KO'd by anyone around the weight, maybe thats why Bhop skipped 168 to go fight Tarver and Wright at 175 when he priced himself out of fighting Calzaghe who had the same work ethic and Jones and Taylor (high work rate, aggression)

The only person I see even coming close to beating Calzaghe is Jones jr (roided up version) and even then its a close decision. There was just no one around at that time who could beat Joe

    :nut:lol::rofl:patsch

obviously because toney was that great he was getting smashed up by C-level fighters in his steroid riddled prime by the likes of dave tiberi, sanderline williams, sosa, thadzi, and jirov - how could calzaghe possibly beat this monster

hopkins was that good he was losing to clinton mitchell, drawing with mercado, throwing himself outta the ring like a ***** v robert allen, losing twice to hype job like taylor, and even when hopkins was ranked p4p number 2 and on the best winning run of his career, calzaghe travelled abroad, fought at a new weight for the 1st time, and despite corrupt officiating still bent bernard over and ****ed him doggy style

obviously calzaghe wouldn't stand a chance v roy jones, this steroid riddled berk spent his career picking up big pay from hbo for fighting bums, so much so that his own paymasters hbo were calling him reluctant roy :rofl
look how a midget like griffin boxed roys head off, look how as soon as jones stepped up his level of competition as a clean fighter, he got slapped around the ring by tarver and johnson - surely calzaghe couldn't beat this phenom . . . . . . . . . . . oh wait a minute, he did, a shot to ****, bloated and brittle handed calzaghe travelled to roys back yard and peppered his gormless chops all night long with crisp, lightning combinations, all filmed in crystal clear HD before a global audience of millions :hi:

theres no coming back from a sustained beating like the GJE, stynk has had his 5 minutes of fame and worldwide exposure by entering into debate with the team elite corporation, but he has been brutally exposed as fart snorkler who loves a fist up his sludgepipe :lol::rofl

thats the problem these days GJE, everyone wants a piece of the team elite pie, minnions throughout esb know that if they want to catipult themselves into esb superstardom, then the quickest route to the top is through interaction with the hugely respected team elite generals :grouphug

No one with a chin like this is getting ''Hattoned''. lol

Notice the amount of times Eubank's head crashes hard into Joe's face in this one too.

Here's one of the worst versions of Joe to ever step into a ring. He only did fourteen or fifteen rounds of light sparring for this fight due to be sidelined with injuries to his wrist and elbow (the later of which required surgery), he was flat as a pancake after ****ing the weight up too, and if that wasn't enough, he suffered a nasty injury to his left hand during the 4th or 5th round and from there on in had major difficulties trying to keep Reid of him as he was barely able to throw any power shots with his power hand. By the way, Carl Froch said Reid hit him the hardest out of all the opponents he fought, prime Reid couldn't have hit Joe any harder of more often and yet still he coudn't put a dent in him. lol

    ...AT THE AGE OF 43.

still, a really dumbass thing to say when you probably know you likely to get beaten due to old age.

totally correct, apart from maybe Toney, who Calzaghe might beat by keeping his distance and especially with his usual welsh ref to help keep Toney away. But yeah no way can Calzaghes good but limited skills compete with prime Hopkins and Jones.

Calzaghe can however beat 40something prior legends such as Jones, Ali, Bob Foster, Sugar Ray Robinson etc etc mainly because ANY pretty good, 100% fit fighter could beat them with a decent workrate plan. After all, theres a good reason he waited till they were 40something!

Think he only had two fights at ww, callazo and fmj..... so that makes him one of the best of his era at ww?! Just to name a few..... margarito, cotto, pwill and even clottley would have given Hatton hell.

No doubt he was a very, very good lww who ruled his division, but it was the near equivalent of what the hw division is now. If he had stayed longer and fought Bradley, Khan, Maidana or even Alexander, he'd had another loss.
