Would Calzaghe have been the best ever if his hands had stayed injury free?

Enlighten mev9n what questions these are?

Are they the ones on which the initial discussion are based on?

    Or

Are they the ones you are constantly changing due to you being proven wrong and proven to be a ****** on?

    It doesn't unnerve me.

    Anybody can say anything.

Oscar De La Hoya swears that he genuinely wants a GG fight for Canelo, even though he's only offered a flat fee, 12 months out.

You believe that Joe and Frank wanted Roy, because: THEY SAID SO.

What I'm telling you, is: It wasn't viable due to a number of factors.

He has also made it clear that Canelo's intentions are to move up to 160 this year to make the fight. He and Canelo do genuinely want the Golovkin fight. He made GG an offer, flat fee or not, that's a great step towards making the fight. At the very least, it can serve as the starting point for negotiations after Golovkin fights Jacobs. And it's not 12 months out, it was offered more like 8 months out with the date being in September of this year.

Please carry on with your fantastic debate regrading Roy vs Joe, I just thought I'd chime on regarding what you said about Canelo vs Golovkin.

Yet you even saw links with Roy being aware and we watched a press conference where as much was said.
So you say Roy was in on it with Calzaghe and Frank now? Lol really?

Very easy because I actually have a life.

You have been on here all day trolling, you have no life and cut a pathetic figure.

You try and spin, trying to act clever on posts to suit your needs. All in all you are a failure in life and this comes across quite clearly in your posts.

    shadow111,

I respect your opinion, but to me it's all BS.

When Oscar's serious, he'll sit down with K2 face to face, in private, to try and reach a compromise.

It seems obvious to me that he sent out the offer knowing full well it was going to be refused. But in doing so, it gave the impression to some that he was trying to make the fight.

    Please join in.

What the hell are you talking about?

    Seriously?

We've seen all the links of what Joe and Frank told the media.

    So what??

I have now explained to you on numerous occasions that what was said in those links were nonsense.

Now go and reread them and come back if you want to debate the points.

    Do you understand?

    They were a JOKE!

They wanted the world's best fighter and unified LHW champ to go to Wales.

They wanted the world's best fighter and unified LHW champ to drop back to SMW to fight for a lightly regarded WBO belt.

They wanted him to fight on Showtime.

Joe wanted huge money even though he was relatively unknown Stateside and there was no demand for the fight.

The week after Roy had beaten Woods, Frank spoke of flying to New York to try and secure the fight for Joe, even though Roy had told the boxing world that either Tarver or Ruiz were next.

Do you want me to draw you a picture?

    It was a FANTASY!

Regarding what Roy told the media in 2008, he'd only quoted what Joe had told him. It meant nothing.

    Sort yourself out.

I know you love Joe, but those links are cringeworthy.

You're literally wasting your time even bothering attempting to have a rational conversation with him. It's not what he's here for.

He's here to spout crap, shout Cowardzaghe occasionally and then deny that saying that is calling Calzaghe a coward. Oh and he likes to use the word flop a lot. That's the type of manchild you're dealing with.

Could you not both be right there?

Could Calzaghe and Warren been chasing a fight that was just out of reach for the reasons you say?

Perhaps Calzaghe did want the fight but Roy just thought it was a stupid idea and that he had bigger fish to fry at LHW? Makes sense to me.

I respect your opinion mate, but no.

Go and look at the comments he's made throughout the years and look at his actions.

If he'd seriously have wanted Roy, the very first things he'd have done would have been to fight in the U.S. at LHW. That's a given.

You're talking here about a guy who was happy to defend a lightly regarded WBO belt 21 times, with only 6/7 of those defences being mandatories.

You're talking about a guy who remained at SMW in the early 00's, even when he knew Ottke wouldn't unify with him, and there was nothing else on the horizon at the time.

You're talking about a guy who starved himself to make SMW, coming down from around 190 pounds, to fight guys like Kabary Salem in his 30's.

    I'm sorry mate, but it's a joke.

    Talk is cheap.

    Anyone can say anything.

Perhaps. Personally I don't think he was in line to get a shot at pre-shot Roy at all and whether or not the intent was there for the previously stated reasons he was never going to get that fight which may have also been in their thinking. Nowadays with British boxing having a lot more clout they may have approached things differently.

Had he gone to 175, yes it would of been a positive move but I doubt many doors would have been flung open to him by the guys operating there. He'd have to have forced the issue every step of the way and that's something he has a titlist at 168 clearly wasn't willing to do.
