Would Calzaghe have been the best ever if his hands had stayed injury free?

I didnt read it in entirety as you are missing bits out and posting from opinion and what you claim people were thinking.
roy was considering Calzaghe but decided HW, which I understand but lets not pretend it wasnt a consideration and say at that time that Calzaghe wasnt interested

Yes, he briefly considered how much he'd want to fight Joe in Wales at SMW.

    What I'm saying is:

    1. The reason Roy had to consider that proposal in the first place, was because Joe would not fight Roy at LHW in the U.S.

    2. It was never viable, because Roy would have wanted huge money to drop back to SMW and to travel to Wales, and Joe himself wanted huge money.

So no, Joe wasn't really interested. It was all BS. You don't have to possess psychic powers to know that no promoter could pay both guys huge money when there was no real demand for the fight.

Anybody can offer a BS proposal to pretend they're being genuine. It's exactly the same as Oscar's offer to GG. It fools a certain group of uneducated people into believing they're trying to make a fight.

Please answer me the following questions:

Why didn't Joe ever offer to go to LHW to fight Roy in the U.S.?

Why was the proposal for the world's best fighter to make concessions?

Calzaghe who i love does not get credit for beating Jones or Hop. I don't think that he beat Hop, and Jones was not even a shadow of himself when they fought. Still 40Cal could fight.

lol at he a devastating puncher once.... becasue eubank said so.

But noone else. Never in another fight. funny that. Truth more likely is that eubank was brought in by wassen to set joe up as the next champ, drawing off eubanks reputation to build a new one. eubank had ZERO interest in beating calzaghe, joe would have won whatever he did that night.

yup - joe was featherfist alrightm and often wildly inaccurate. good tank though, he could keep throwing his weak wild blows.

Cal could fight. He didn't have one punch power but his inside attack is where he was very effective. He will fight you in the trenches.

yes he liked to batle hard when facing his usual weaklings especially, and pose like muhammad ali afterwards having dispatched a nobody.

The morning after of which, no newspaper in England would have taken any notice.

    Have you lost your mind?
You know from the links Calzaghe was willing to go to America
Joe did go to the USA to face Jones at LHW.

Calzaghe wanted to previously but for a straight shot at Jones and you have seen where Jones said it didnt make sense for him

He wasn't willing to go to the U.S. to fight at LHW when Roy was prime. So what if he went in 2008? You can't give him a pass because he eventually went 5-6 years later.

    A straight shot at Roy?

    Wake up man.

How could a relatively unknown WBO champ, who fought at a different weight, in a different country, have gotten a straight shot at the world's best fighter for huge money??

    Ha!

It's like accusing Kovalev or Ward of ducking Gilberto Ramirez just because he said he'd fight them. :nut:

Anybody who really believes that Joe genuinely wanted to fight Roy in the early 00's, is a fool.

Arguably. Look how he embarrassed Roy Jones and humiliated Hopkins, American media's boxing gods, with injured hands. And in their home country with their home judges!

This forum does not properly appreciate the boxing miracle that Joe Calzaghe pulled off. It's like Ali-Liston and Ali-Foreman, but back to back and in a hostile country!

Miracle? Joe was a great fighter, but just what "miracle" did he pull off?
