Fighting weight - Hopkins was weight drained against Taylor imo. Calzaghe has beaten guys like Eubank, Reid, Mitchell, Brewer, Lacy, Bika, Kessler, Hopkins and Jones, Veit, Woodhall. All of these guys were top class. These opponents get underated today. Lacy was the favourite. That win is a little like Froch's over Abrham but the way Calzaghe did it was more impressive and Lacy was an undefeated champion. In all fairness, Abraham hasn't done anything since that loss and that's the main point of critisism over Calzaghe.
How many knock downs against world class fighters does Slappy have? I can only think of the flash KD against Eubank :think Frochs last few wins are as good as anything Slappy ever did, simple as that, and Froch has done it all in the space of a few fights, no spending 10 years fighing ****ing jokes and hiding behind a meaningless belt.
You've seriously got to be kidding me. Eubank - weight drained and coming off losses, hadn't looked good in a ring for YEARS before he fought Slappy. Reid - Well yeah, good opponent and a good argument can be made for Reid winning that fight. Mitchell - Yeah....big deal, check his record before he fought Slappy, typical WBOgus opponent. Brewer - How many fights had he lost before he faced Slappy? Lacy - First fight he ever impressed me in, but Lacys record since then suggests he was overmatched. Apparently Slappy had to be dragged to the ring that night if you believe everything ****** says. Bika - :rofl:rofl:rofl Kessler - Good win but he's hardly a 'great' fighter, Slappy was just a bit more impressive against Kessler than Froch was, but Froch KO'd Taylor who beat a better version of B-Hop than Slappy did and left no room for argument either, unlike Slappy. Hopkins - I felt Hopkins won the fight, hardly a legendary performance from Slappy in this one, he landed virtually nothing of significance which kind of dampens down the argument about him being too skilled for Froch. Jones Jr - Oh dear, yet another ducker feasts on the corpse of the guy that he blatantly avoided for years when he was at his prime. Slappy can join Hopkins in the hall of shame on this one for even taking the fight. Veit - Absolutely crap fighter - and Slappy had the nerve to rematch him after KO'ing him in the first atsch What mugs Slappy fans were to put up with that ****. Woodhall - Was a good fighter at one time, but that time was 5 years before Slappy fought him. I see a pattern developing here.....
