Slaps aren’t gonna ko someone like Hearns, Calzaghe would be eating that jab and straight right all night. The only one who would realistically be KO’d is Calzaghe who was a sucker for the right hand.
Knocking down a shot and demoralized Chris Eubank on his last fight at 168 is almost as impressive as Joes win over Roy Jones.
Yeah I mean.... it's not like Eubank was able to absorb big shots and drop Carl Thompson in his very next fight up at Cruiserweight now is it......
Virgil Hill when he was aggressive could be dangerous, like when he stopped Kinchen, Tiozzo, in the opening round. But for the most part he was a one arm fighter, and his fights were mostly boring. Looking at all of Hill's title defences you'd think he was an ATG, but when you dig a bit deeper. His opposition wasn't all that stellar, although he did have a few solid wins on his resume Maske, Tiozzo, Czyz. I'd rate him as a very good champion, but falls short of great for me despite the many title defences.
Very quick. Long reach. Good movement. Very good jab. That's it for me. Outboxed at 175 by Tommy who was beaten by Iran Barkley there. Beaten up by Darius and stopped by a Roy Jones body punch. Doesn't cut it for me
Clinton, there's one or two fellas on this forum, that I have the upmost respect for. That's for their boxing knowledge and for the way they carry themselves. Yourself and Mr Magoo are right up there!
Sometimes I can allow my emotions to affect my logic. But you are a superb poster, and thank you for your kind words. And Magoo has been an elite poster for a very long time.
