Chris Eubank ran onto the punch aswell, and got up laughing.

Calzaghe has not knocked anyone out for years because of his bad hands. Froch has an iron chin.
I would so love to see this fight, would be enormous in Britain. Dont think it will happen sadly.

It's not about iron chins. It's about the fact that Froch doesn't have a defence and Calzaghe would keep flurrying in his face and the ref would be tempted to stop it, just like he could have been tempted to stop the Lacy fight. Get Terry O'Connor in there and I guarantee that Froch loses on a TKO.

Froch would at least fire back, instead of just leaning backwards over the ropes.

He would...but given his speed of execution, Calzaghe shouldn't have that many troubles avoiding his punches whilst continuing to flurry...just like he did against Lacy who kept swinging till the end.

Manfredo was stopped because he was throwing NOTHING in return, simply didn't want to fight.

Froch would protect himself and fire back.

I think Calzaghe would beat him easily, but Froch's awkwardness could cause problems early.

I don't think Calzaghe packs a big enough punch these days. Who was the last guy he stopped? Manfredo. And even then the ref waded in early imo. Not that Manfredo stood any chance of winning that fight, just he didn't seem hurt.

that fight is how JC will stop people though...manfredo wasn't hurt and it was an awful stoppage but he was outclassed just like froch would be

As Froch is definately a much stronger fighter than Manfredo I would see Calzaghe respecting him alot more. If i remember right Calzaghe just came out and bullied Manfredo from the get go, and he just couldn't fire back. Froch would give him more to think about but i'd still expect Calzaghe to win, just not with a stoppage.
