Would Canelo Alvarez, Danny Jacobs, and GGG be able to compete with the Fabulous 4 from the 80’s?

both Canelo and GGG would compete but I am sure neither of them would win, with the exception of beating the smallest, Duran, purely on proportions, a way more pronounced advantage in lower weight class boxers.

Jacobs is a non starter, the fab four ate Biscuit boy types for breakfast regularly.

Don't be too quick to dismiss Jacobs. He absolutely belongs in the conversation. I don't like his chances against Hagler, but he is a stiff test for the rest.
I would comfortably pick Hagler to plow through the three, with Golovkin perhaps providing the biggest challenge.
Hearns defeats Canelo, but I can't bring myself to pick him against Triple G, especially if it's best-for-best. If it's the three as they are now, with Golovkin at 37, both Hearns and Leonard's chances significantly improve.
Leonard against Canelo is interesting because Canelo is low-volume and Leonard high. Pound-for-pound, there should be no question who is better, but since this is middleweight, the gap is not as wide.
I think Alvarez looks good in making Leonard hit air, but whether or not he snags the early rounds is in doubt. By fight's end, Ray would probably have points to spare, but Alvarez wouldn't have registered any visible damage.

Yes and they would win some of the fights. Leonard did what at160lbs? Canelo and GGG have excellent chances against Hearns as well.

I don't think Duran would beat either Canelo or Golovkin, and he would have a very tough night against Jacobs too.

Who cares about title defenses? It's H2H, not greatness. It's GGG the greater Middleweight than Duran? Unquestionably. Could Duran beat him H2H? Perhaps

Hearns used his reach v Leonard smarter than Jacobs wwas able to v Canelo but Tommy didn`t really fight the same way at 160 as he did at 147 and at 154 he even outboxed Bnitez who was also a smarter fighter than Jacobs in his respective weight classes.

I do guess on it, I think he fought fine and he was only 32 when he fought Hearns in 1984.. Not exactly old. How old was Floyd when he fought Manny 4 years ago. How old was Manny? Crawford now is only a year younger than Duran was when he fought Hearns. Putting things in perspective helps.

Crawford would not be able to knock Duran out at the age of 32 in 2 rounds, Tommy was awesome in that fight. Floyd would have had the same trouble countering Tommy`s right hand because of it`s length, both he and Duran have much shorter arms than Hearns did. Tommy would have detroyed Manny, too short to fight a powerful fighter like Hearns with that jab and right hand of his.

Jacobs is about the same level as Davey Moore, but more powerful with a longer reach.

I thought he lost to Ray at 168.

Yeah, you’re right. Ray wasn’t a true super middle though.

I don`t think Duran would have been an underdog against Jacobs if they had both just fought Hagler because then everyone would have seen how smart a boxer Duran was compared to Jacobs who would have been torn apart easily by Marvin, all Jacobs would have over Duran was reach and power.
