Would Carl Froch have faced prime RJJ and co. if he'd been champ in that era?

    Again, after Roy had become the IBF champ, Eubank went on to lose twice to Collins, and had fights at LHW.

    The fight was never viable.

    So to answer the question. Yes he would

    If he'd win is another question entirely

    I don't think any fan of Carl's would have wanted to have seen him fight Roy in his 20's.

    You couldn't pick a worse fight for him, style wise.

    Roy would have toyed with him.

    It'd almost def be a massacre but what we do know is that Carl would have been trying to win for every second of every round hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.

    That's more than we can say about some of Roy's other opponents who let their heads drop once
    Roy got into a groove.

    That's correct.

    A lot of Roy's opponents gave up after a few rounds, and Roy was just content to coast home.

    But Carl wouldn't have backed off. It's not in his nature. He'd have tried to fight Roy, and would have continuously poured forward IMO.

    I think his aggression would have gotten him hurt.

    This fantasy fight has been done a few times, and I respect everyone's opinion.

    A lot of people think that Roy would have pot shotted him to a comfortable decision.

    To be honest, those were my initial thoughts.

    But I no longer think that.

    I think he'd have kept going at Roy, and Roy would have been forced to floor the gas pedal, to get him out of there.

    I think Roy would have won by a TKO.
