I have always said monzon is the greatest ever middleweight, but if les darcy wouldnt of died at age 21 it could be darcy getting called the greatest middle, tex richard said he hadnt never seen anythink like darcy and he had been around jefferies, dempsey and langford. In a 15 round fight could monzon of kept dary at bay? the guy was like a smaller dempsey but just as strong and he was only 21!

Would've been something if he could've been matched up with Greb.

Perhaps, not sure if Monzon could "Handle" him, but he might beat him.

I think this match would be a war imo. I give it 50 50. I do rank Darcy in my top ten.

If monzon turned up like he did in the 2nd emile fight or the tony licata fight, i think darcy beats him

The great thing about dying young is the public does not get to see your flaws. Sometimes it is just an excellent career move.

Carlos proved far more than Les, not even in the same league in this regard. Once again, "what if" is more persuasive than "what was" to some.
