The problem is that even this Fury is extremely quick especially for someone his size and Byrd relied on being much faster then his opponents and with Fury while I believe Byrd is quicker it isn't that huge of an edge like other Byrd opponents. I think Fury would stop Byrd.
Byrd was a roided middleweight, so that's a bit of an issue. Usyk is much bigger naturally. Also someone like Cunningham wasn't small. In other words, these 'small' fighters that give Fury trouble really aren't very small, just small HW's these days. I think Byrd has no way to beat Fury and probably gets TKO'd.
Trouble, yes. But I think Fury would be victorious, looking a bit sloppy while doing it. Something like a Wallin fight.
Fury defeats Byrd without major difficulties, Byrd is significantly smaller and Fury is mobile and great on his feet, Fury by late TKO...
Fury has struggled vs smaller skillful fighters like Cunningham, Usyk. Byrd was able to be very competitive vs Vitali after 1 weeks notice he could certainly give Fury all he could handle.
Chris on his A game was a special fighter imo, but his problem then and now is his inconsistency. It's easy to remember Chris at his best and see a way for him to beat Fury or at least give him hell. Likewise it's easy to remember Chris being lazy and paying for it as well. I guess Tyson's similar except the difference his Tyson secures the W.
Byrd doesn't put enough pressure. He lays back and fires off a counter here and there. I don't think he would win or give much trouble.
