With the new events unfolded concerning Don Miguel Cotto and his untimely death many sources have said that Cotto and his uncle are talking again on a daily basis. Do you think this would a better step for Cotto in the crescendo of his career?

Pretty much. He really needs a good trainer bad in this stage of his career and his uncle can help him regain his once dominant form.

Sad that his Father had to pass for them to reconcile ..But I think so he was very successful with his uncle in his corner who knows what the future holds ..Anything is better than his current corner man ..

I really wish cotto would have roach train him. I think Freddie could really help cotto and fix the few errors he has.

cotto has been done since the mosley fight. Stick a fork in him, nothing can help him at this point.

It would be great to see him mend his relationship with Evangelista, i think we can see that happen. If so he's going to have new inspiration to fight with, RIP Don

Way better off...Chavez is a good dude an all but he isn't a trainer, he's more of a friend or even fan. All he said to Cotto was "you can do it" "this is for ur family." Miguel Sr. even had to come up to the corner. Evangelista knows a lot more about boxing. However, Cotto's defense never has improved much, he has always be open to uppercuts and has had trouble against southpaws.

Freddie would only improve him slightly offensively and by providing him with a better game plan. Cotto is solid offensively, a defensive minded trainer would help him greater in my opinion.

Freddie could teach him how to use his right hand more effectively

    No

You guys are asking too much, its already good enough they are speaking to each other. They are both hotheads and want to be in control of the camp, dont want another feud that will take the death of another family member for them to reconcile again.

Yup that's true. None the less Cotto needs a trainer that will discipline him and get him in top form. Nacho Bernstein would be the perfect trainer for Cotto.

Not crap, but he stopped punching the same way - he was a little stiffer.
