Quintana would spark Hatton. Hatton's straight ahead, squared up, and no jab style would play right into Quintana's hands. He'd time Hatton coming in with the straight left over and over. Quintana hits harder than Mayweather and Collazo, both of whom hurt Hatton badly with clean punches he didn't see coming. Plus Quintana is physically stronger and much bigger.

Easy fight to pick, Quintana KO

Bull****: Hatton has little punching power at welterweight. His power is at the level of Collazo.

    Cotto WRECKS Hatton

Stylistically, this fight is all wrong for Ricky.

:good True. Cotto probably gets him out of there quicker, but definitely takes more punishment doing so.

I understood where you were coming from, my first few threads about Hatton were maybe too derogatory.

only because of the power, cotto punches would hurt hatton alot worse then mayweathers.the body shots would brake ricky down.mayweather broke him him 10 i think cotto would get him out of there in 6 or 7.

i remeber the faces ricky made when he was hit by juan urango to the body, cotto would break him literally.

Cotto would not beat Hatton more convincingly. In fact, I'd give Hatton a good chance to beat Cotto.

First off, Hatton is not "weaker" than Cotto. In fact, I think Hatton and Cotto are probably around the same in raw physical strength with Cotto having a small edge. Hatton on the other hand has spent his entire career pushing and pulling fighters out of position to minimize their power and maximize his own. Cotto would not know what to do against that type of mauling nor the skill like of Hatton in how he employs those tactics.

Hatton won't stand in there and do solid in-fighting against Cotto cause he'd get KOed inside of 3 rounds. He'd spend the entire fight trying to outmanuver Cotto with his WWE tactics. The only reason Floyd was able to do as well as he did was because of that elbow tactic he uses.

This would be a tough fight for Cotto and I'm not sure who'd win it.

    Atrocious off the backfoot??

Nah, he isn't. Hatton's a good boxer if he chooses to be, he's just naturally better on the front foot.

Watch some earlier Hatton fights before he hit America, you'll see.

I remember before the Collazo fight, there was a Hatton interview where he stated he felt much stronger with the added weight, and didn't believe anyone at welterweight would be as strong as him. Then came the Collazo fight where he was getting outmuscled and even manhandled at points, by a fighter never known for his strength. I highly doubt Hatton's strength is anywhere near Cotto's.
