Would Cotto beat Hatton more convincingly than PBF?

Perhaps in a similar way but Hatton face will look a bloody mess,so yeah more convincingly.

 

That contender bum wouldnt last a round, not 1 round with Hatton.

I can't wait to see how folks talk about Cotto after Floyd beats him. I'm sure folks will be saying how weak he is and how bad his resume is.

Hatton style does not work for good movers. It does work for fighters that are thinking he's gonna bang with them when in fact he doesn't. He works that grapple crap very well and uses it very effectively. Cotto is not a mover and likes to work inside. I fully expect Hatton to use his smaller base to get his bigass head under Cotto's chin to force Cotto out of position and open up his body. Cotto on the other hand will work on trying to catch Hatton as he dives in and try to create some space for himself to throw during Hatton's WWE tactics.

If fought in Manchester, Cotto would be at a huge disadvantage imo.

 

To be fair, he did walk through dozens of clean hard punches from Floyd, if he hadn't have hit the ring post then I reckon he'd have gone the full 12. Bloodied and battered, but still hearing the final bell.

Ricky Hatton's heart and chin is unquestionable. His boxing skill is what is lacking.

 

Hatton would bust up Cotto ... PBF wasn't busted up or bruised, but I have a hard time thinking that Cotto wouldn't be hurt at some point during that fight.

Cotto should win but who's to say ... this is coming from the same guy that took Paulie Malignaggi 12.

The fight would definitely go the distance ...

 

That is the main difference. PBF was ok after the fight, Cotto would win but his face would be damaged.

I think a Hatton Cotto fight would be one hell of a spectacle, regardless of the weight division or the venue.

The main difference between Cotto and Mayweather, is that Cotto is hittable, both to the head and body, meaning Hatton will be able to have some joy both on the inside and the outside.

This would be no real boxing match, just two blokes lamping each other until one went down and stayed down!

I think the speed and the work rate of Hatton will give Cotto more trouble ...

Cotto wouldn't knockout Hatton ... Cotto would cut and be beat up ...

Floyd wasn't beat up ... wasn't cut ... and probably went to the club afterwards.

Cotto would most definitely have to go to the hospital ...
