Would Cotto-Clottey been much different if Cotto had both his eyes?

Surprisingly few people have acknowledged the severity of the handicap with which Cotto was fighting. On the other hand, we've had plenty of threads and posts about how Cotto is on the decline, shot, not the fighter of three years ago, etc, etc.

well in my eyes clottey was outboxing him before the cut anyway, he would have had the first round but for the knockdown and he took the next two

I think his first 3 rounds after the cut...

were better than his first 3 rounds before the cut

You cannot maximize the effect of Cotto's eye, and completely ignore the effect of Clottey's leg. Especially when it was extremely obvious he was slipping all over the place.

    With a do-over, I see the fight a 6-6 or 7-5 fight again.

    Oh! **** "American Boy" avi..

Not sure how much it changes thing's.
IMO, It kind of made him fight the style he needed to Vs. Clottey.
Joshua is no banger, But he was in there exchanging when Cotto stood with him.
No doubt Cotto's eye would be the better w/o it...

I agree no matter how many times they fought. It would be a close fight because of their styles.

Cotto had a cut open for 3 minutes of every round and blood constantly dripping into his eye from th3 4th or whenever it happened until the last minute of the last round.

Clottey slippped maybe 5 noticeable times in the entire fight there is no comparison.

There was nothing wrong with his leg and if you are even alluding to the acting job that he did when he hit the floor than you'll believe anything.

Your Cotto hatred is well known but come on be serious you are telling me that you will see he same fight without the nasty cut over Cotto's eye?

    how about this...

clottey imo won the first 3 rounds (ignoring the first round kd)with no cut
cotto imo won 2 out of the next 3 rounds with a cut

he fought better with the cut imo

You guys talk about Cotto's eye, yet what if Clottey had not injured his knee, or if a point was taken from Cotto for hitting low twice and once behind the head. The fight is over. Cotto won... You tend to fight better when you have adversity whether it be from a butt, good shot, or knockdown anyway.

Definitely, you can see Cotto taking punches he couldn't see coming after the cut happened.

Was Clottey slipping because of his leg? He kept slipping when he was in the middle of the ring, around the Tecate logo, I thought the canvas was just slippery, even Cotto slipped a bit once if I remember correctly.
