Would Cotto have done better against De La Hoya than Trinidad did?

I know Tito won but the way he won wasnt to convincing mostly because DLH took the defense first approach but do you think Cottos style wouldve been better suited for Oscars style that night? I think Cotto had/has faster feet (@147) and a better jab but less heart and a smaller gas tank than Tito, so it wouldve been a lil more interesting imo.

Dont think so. Oscar at least respected Trinidad's power. And although Cotto may be the better technician, Oscar is still a better fighter than Cotto.

Prime DLH was very good, he always fought the best..... so did Cotto but styles make fights and DLH loved to brawl and he always got the best of his opponents when he did so..... but with Tito, he just couldn't take the power.

Tito was a beast man, especially at 154.... A total beast.

Very sad that his father rushed him to 160 just for a Roy Jones Fight.... he rushed him into Hopkins, and we know the rest is history.

It's karma. Tito destroyed both Vargas and Reid, it was inevitable that he'd fall under a similar fate :yep His beatdown of Vargas is still one of the most bad ass performances ever. I forget the exact quote, but when they met in the middle of the ring before the fight to touch gloves he said to vargas something like "now we will see who is who" .....and then gave him a potentially career ending beating.

De La Hoya is faster, has a better left hand, and a steel chin. Cotto will get ko'ed trying to hook with a faster hooker.
