Maybe not... but Cotto might not have still been in this position to be in the fight at that point either. We just don't know. We have seen Cotto caught and rocked many times before. He is much better, and more sturdy at 147 though.

 

I don't think that Cotto would have been as careless as Ricky. Ricky's shoulder dropped 6'' when he telegraphed his own hook. Stupid move to make against PBF. Hatton was very frustrated by Floyds strength on the inside. Ricky could'nt muscle Floyd and that's why he lost. Time to move back down.

 

He wouldn't get popped like that. And he could take those hits. Problem is, he's not getting close to pbf and not winning rounds from pbf.

 

yep cotto hase defense. Hotton d was horrible last night he was walking in to those shots cotto holds his hands up high.

 

There was a straight right in one of the rounds that I think would've wobbled Cotto.. but at the same time it probably wouldn't get through against Cotto..

 

Cotto has a better chin at 147 than Ricky. He would also not have been caught like that.

 

Cotto's chin is worse than Hatton's.

 

Cotto may have taken it, but Cotto would have had to take alot more of em too.

I think this fight proved that no matter who you are. Cotto, Mosley. Margarito or whoever you are not gonna beat this guy with pressure alone.
You will have to go to war with him at some point.
unless you cooperate with him tapping you and moving and making it easy.

 

Cotto does have better defense than Hatton, and his recovery is one of the best in boxing. When Floyd get somebody in trouble, he finish them. If Cotto get wobbed or hurt by Floyd, it's over. Floyd is one of the best finishers in boxing. :yep
