Keeping in line with his career he would most likely fight anyone within a particular weight range. The question is would that be a good move for him.....:think

Martinez should be the one moving up in my opinion.

Why the hell would Cotto fight Martinez, Cotto is a small light middleweight and Martinez is a full blown middleweight. Stop being ridiculous.

Cotto has proven throughout his career that he's willing to fight anyone. It wouldn't surprise me if Cotto walks around heavier than Martinez does in between fight. Martinez is not a big middleweight and fought at 154 for years. I'd like to see Martinez fight Cotto or Canelo sometime within the next year...either that or grow some freakin balls and move up to 168. He expects all the little guys to come up and face him but he's not willing to move up one division to 168 to fight Froch and Ward.

IF Martinez beats Chavez Jr. Cotto would be below his radar.
Sergio would be gunning for either Mayweather or Pacquiao.

If I were Cotto I'd be keeping a close eye on Alvarez and Martinez as these are legacy cementing fights for him that should be fought at 154

Same applies for Floyd if he chooses to stay at 154

    Cotto fears no one

    I don't see why he wouldn't.

Cotto(e)'s excuse to not fight Sexy Sergio last year was Sexy Sergio brings in no payday. Well, Sexy Sergio is going to premier on 24 7 soon in front of a countless number of Mexican fans. It sounds like he doesn't mind being the villain and will talk **** to Julio Jr.

Assuming he wins, he should have a following.

Cotto will try his best to continue fighting may and pac as many times as he can cause thats where the moneys at (although some people seem to connect his willingness to fight with him being a warrior ready to fight anyone)...

He's also in his late 30's and most likely cannot make 154 anymore. You're going to tell me that if he is a P4P talent like he claims, he can't move up to 168 and campaign there?

You got it backwards. Junior is the villian, the bully. Martinez is the righteous.

How I see it is lots of Mexicans will tune in for the event. They don't care about who's righteous and will go for the Mexican by default. I called Martinez the villain since I think he'll be the one getting the majority of the boos on fight night.
