Would Cotto win all 3 of these rematches: Mosley, Clottey, Margarito?

Ok, everyone is entitled to their opinion but could you be more detailed as to why and how you come to that conclusion?

I thought he lost the first fights with all three:

    Margarito:
One thing was made extremely clear in the first fight, there is NOTHING Cotto could've done differently. He fought a perfect fight for the first 1/2, hit Margo with EVERYTHING he had in his arsenal. Margo just walked thru him and wore him down. The only thing Cotto could've done differently is hold, but that won't win him the fight. He is too short, his arms are too short. The added weight would benefit Margo the same as it does Cotto. Margo by stoppage again.

    Mosley:
I saw Mosley break Cotto's will and force him to retreat and resort to backpeddling and boxing off his back foot. Mosley got KO Happy, and I think let his hunger to take Cotto out take himself out of his game. In a rematch, IF Mosley keeps his composure he would win a UD.

    Clottey:
Simple, Clottey doesn't take 1/2 the fight off....he wins. Clottey is the safer bet in this fight.

Then why don't you ****ing breakdown each fight and let us all know what your infinite boxing wisdom says about how Cotto would do now, what he couldn't do then. Margo beat the **** out of him, and the 2 other fights could've went either way.....but Mosley and Clottey are the ones that clearly COULD'VE done better....not Cotto.

I think the way he could do better agaisnt margo ... especially in the 1st fight .. by going to the body ... its the reason y shane got the k.o. ... cotto didn't go to the body was landing bombs to margo head .. so he started head hunting ... if cotto goes to the body I think he also puts margo away

Mosley .. I agree with u .. I think they are both fading so I think ull probably get the same result .. toss up fight in my eyes

Clottey ... I had clottey winning the 1st fight but cotto fighting a brave fight ...I think cotto is a tough guy but he lost that fight not by a lot .. I think clottey wins next time ... unless his bitassness shows up and he doesn't punch ala pac

Lets keep in mind that the Cotto Margo fight was stopped early, so now imagine what would happen if it went the distance 50/50 for me. I think he beats Mosley again and beats the stationary Clottey again.

I respect your opinion and agree with what you said about the Margarito fight but disagree with Mosley and Clottey.

Cotto clearly beat Mosley, he was landing the cleaner punches and it was probably Cotto's best display of his jab. Even when Cotto was backpedalling or retreating, he was landing the cleaner punches and Mosley, as evidenced by the losses on his record, has always struggled with pure boxers (Not saying Cotto is a pure boxer but he's pretty damn good). Mosley tried everything, applying pressure, boxing from the outside, etc but Cotto disrupted everything with the jab. I honestly can't see how people could score the fight in favor of Mosley, three judges saw Cotto as the clear winner and I personally feel it's the haters that delude themselves into thinking Mosley won the fight.

Against Clottey, Cotto suffered a gash above his eye and that'll clearly affect anyone. Clottey is too inactive and was too terrified of Cotto's power to let his hands go more often. Also, keep in mind that Cotto could've stopped the fight if he wanted and he was ahead on the scorecards...Regardless, the fight could've been a draw and I would've been ok with that. Rematch? If Cotto avoids getting cut, he wins a UD and not a SD...

He would probably get by Clottey but I'm not convinced he would beat Shane or Margo. I'd put his chances against Shane at 40% and Margo at 50/50.

I think the easiest fight of the three would be Mosley - though it would not be 'easy' exactly, but a clearer win than the other two. I'd back Cotto to thoroughly outbox this older, slower Shane en route to a comfortable UD.

Margarito has a bad style for Cotto. I still think Miguel could do it, because Margo without the loaded gloves will not be hurting Cotto the same way he was in the first fight, but even then, Cotto refuses to hold when his opponent backs him up and unloads, and that could make it a close, difficult fight for him. Cotto close UD.

If Cotto rematched Clottey right now, I'd give Clottey a really good chance, the best of the three. Joshua Clottey's next opponent is going to face the very best version that there can be of the Grand Master, because his pride will have taken a real beating due to the scathing and widespread post-Pacquiao fight criticism he received. We saw how difficult Clottey was for Cotto first time out, and a hungry, angry Clottey could give Cotto a really torrid evening. Again though, I give the edge to Cotto when it comes to the crunch. He managed to dig out a decision vs Clottey first time while suffering impaired vision, so I'd back him to win with both eyes in full working order, even though it may be a very tough fight once more.

    I say Cotto 3-0.

  11. Yes, I think he would win all 3, with Clottey being the toughest fight.

I think the addition of Steward to his corner could make the difference in these fights. I think Cotto beats both Clottey and Margarito via close decision. They are both one dimensional and require a gameplan to adapt to their styles. Steward would get Cotto through those fights.

However, Mosley has the ability to stop Cotto. If Mosley cant stop him, Cotto wins a decision by a larger margin than their first fight.

I am assuming these fights are at 154. If they are at 147 I think Cotto has less chance, especially against Mosley

Just how short are Cotto's arms ?

Tale of the tape they were longer than Foreman's!!!

    Mosley broke Cotto's will ? Really ?

There is a reason Clottey takes 1/2 the fight off....he said it himself...
he is afraid to get knocked out !!!
