Would Crawford at 31 have beaten Manny P. from 2015 or 2009?

Crawford wins against 2015 Manny. Against 2009 Manny I favor Manny at 140 and I favor Crawford at 147.

Crazy thought though. Imagine Pacquiao with his 2009 skills in the 126 pound division. With his insane power and speed at the lower weights with his better right hand and harder to time rhythm from 2009. He would be almost unbeatable.

Pacquiao was green against Agapito. Pac didnt start really coming into his best form until around the Emanuel Lucero fight. It was during that fight that Manny Steward said Pacquiao might be the best p4p fighter in the world right now during the broadcast.

And then what do you know? The very next fight of Pacquiaos career was against Barrera who is one of the top Featherweights in boxing history. Pacquiao stopped him and a legend was born.

Considering how the Marquez and Mayweather fights went, Manny would lose in 2015 and make it a point or two either way in 2009.

I agree. Manny and Marquez probably used PED's. More of a fact with Manny, actually.

Does not erase that ass beating he got. What I do know is having more than 20 fights no longer makes you "green", that's a fans excuse , not a mans excuse.

Depends on the situation and context. Clearly the man as a fighter did not really come into form until around 2003.

And for a lot of guys who turn pro in their mid teens it takes time to master the trade and skills of the trade. They dont have any amatuer preparation. They just learn on the fly. And we shouldnt forget that Pac didnt have proper nutrition until years into his career. Clearly some guys just master the skills faster than others. There are some exceptions. But there is just no way that a 20 year old fighter can match the speed, power and workrate of a guy who is 25 that stuff tends to improve when you are that young. And so do skills. The best 25 year old fighter will always be better than the best 20 year old fighter. That's just how it is, its science. And for Pac he made massive leaps in his development.

Crawford over 2009 Pac? No. Hell no. Maybe retrospect 10 or 15 years from now I say otherwise but as of now it is laughable to roll with Crawford without acknowledging you're being a believer.

    UD over 2015 Pac

Gets the "Cotto" treatment from 2009 Pacmonster. Poor boy might be tagged and body bagged back to oklahoma.

Would've any fighter been able to cope with Manny's first round vs Hatton? The speed and power and truly out of this world.

It was unbelievable. I say if Pac had those same exact skills he had from 2009, but was still at his natural weight of 126 pounds he would have been the closest thing to unbeatable since a prime Ray Robinson.

This is a guy who was dominating guys with speed and power multiple divisions above his best weight class. Unbelievable.

The Pac 2015 version would lose to Crawford but the 2009 version was a destructive machine, whether it was a natural one or not. I think 2009 Pac defeats Crawford. I would predict a knockout for Pac.

Crawford's a very good boxer puncher, elite level. Great hands, great feet, good defense, mean streak etc.... Manny at any stage and age would have a lot of trouble with him. Let's be honest, Manny has been outboxed in stretches before.
