Would Crawford Have Stopped Mikey???

Even if Mikey throws the fight and goes full survival mode like he did with Spence, I think Bud schemes and maneuvers and feints and baits and eventually finds a way to put Mikey on those stank legs from which there are no escape.

 

It might happen but I'm not sure about that, Porter has a style that could make it hard to look good and can keep up on an athletic level.

I don't favor Porter to win by any means but I think he would present a stylistic challenge to Crawford that he hasn't faced yet.

He's got natural gifts but he's way beyond where that would take him. I don't follow his lifestyle but from the eye test I'd be surprised if he isn't among the most dilligent as well.

Nah, crawford is smaller than spence, coupled with mikey having a granite chin & not coming to win pretty much rules out a bud stoppage. Mikey aint drained with plates holding his skull together.

 

Crawford enjoys plenty enough size advantage over Garcia. However maybe Mike at some point sees it winnable due to this lesser disadvantage and hence becomes more vulnerable. Maybe that's the game. Maybe it's someting else. Bud is smart, patient and has displayed thus far excellent killer instinct. What granite chin? Does that apply to a body shot? Bud takes guys out with that as well. I'll stick with my prediction. Thanks for your opinion.

Bud-Pac would be brilliant, I can see Bud landing some serious shots and putting him out, a la Marquez.

Probably. Crawford is a sharp puncher and if Mikey played with Fire, it would be a short night. Mikey is a smart fighter and I suspect he would just shell up against Crawford and fight to “not lose”. Boring for fans and zero chance of winning but he’s probably skilled enough to avoid the KO. I hope to god we never see this fight.

exactly. spence fought uncharacteristically against mikey, using his superior length and speed. he never allowed mikey the mid range, where mikey excels. never gave him the chance to counter, just beat him with his legs and speed. didnt trade enough to get timed. thas why he didnt ko him. he wasnt about to let mikey get a chance to do his thing by crowding him like he has everyone else. kinda what floyd did to marquez. bud is a whole different approach, an approach mikey is very good at dealing with. bud is better than the fighters mikey has fought, but outside of spence and the style he used, mikey aint ever been in real danger of losing a fight. and i know he is better acclimated to the welters now than he was back then. this would be a close one. most people dont understand how good mikey really is cause hes so textbook, not much flash. so i hope he fights pac or crawford next, so they can see his true level. i think the circumstances in the spence fight got people sleeping on him.
