Golovkin has beat all the best in his division, what more could be asked of him?

Vanderpool was athletic. He was also a huge middle weight.

So were Joppy and Johnson when he fought them.

And Nard was 40 when he lost to Taylor. Where will GGG be at 40?

It would depend on who he's sharing the ring with. Hagler was a beast, he wouldn't fight a tentative type of fight like GGG did because he was conditioned to battle hard for 12 rounds and loved to mix it up. He chased Leonard the whole fight, and was doing some good consistent work every single round. So like I said it would depend on who he's fighting imo.

Exactly, he would be a force in any era even though he wouldn't be at the top.

First boxer to go distance with Golovkin in 23 fights. First in 18 title defenses.
So definitely i would say yes.

Let's see how he performs over next 1-2 years. He will only be fighting top guys from here on out and is in his prime.
His chin is better than advertised and he has some real positives like his size, weight and reach. All good measurables. He also has good not great handspeed.
On down side I think his punching technique is terrible. Sloppy and slappy way too much and for a guy with a reach he short arms the Jab. Triple G the shorter fighter with the lesser reach his jab constantly landed and was way more effective.

35 today is more like 30 or 31 20-30+ years ago. Better question would be how past his best is golovkin and how would other ATG's do against Jacobs when they were at the same stage of their career

Johnson was 32-0 when he fought Hopkins and hadn't beaten a guy with anything resembling a decent record, I think he only had 8 guys with winning records and he isn't athletic in the Taylor sense.

Joppy isn't the same size as Hopkins and Vanderpool was mediocre.

If you are claiming that Golovkin hasn't fought anyone don't come back with Vanderpool and Johnson at 160.....Joppy fine but he was what? ....5'8/5'9?

Yeah just checked Vanderpool was 28-1 when he fought Hopkins and had only beaten 8 guys with winning records.

Johnson was 32-0 and had only beaten 10 guys with winning records and they where all journeyme.

I doubt that. Source on the record please. Korabov was a small middle these days without a big punch. But he is skilled.

Lee is an awkward puncher type. A rangy dude. He caught Korabov.

Jacobs is talented enough, fast and a heavy hitter, that could perceptibly give most top MW a tough fight. Win? Very unlikely, but he's not some third rate scrub or anything. He can give a good showing I believe.
