I place more value in his recent performance than what he was doing months/years before that performance.

Imagine if Wilder got a belt and promptly took 3 years off, all the while trash talking the top guys in the division. These same Fury lovers would want Wilder to back up all that talk and fight the best guy in the division without any tune ups and a short training camp to boot! LOL Is it me or is something very wrong with this picture?
