Would early 70's Foreman have cleared the 90's with ease?

I think that's fair. That said, I also think Bowe is a tad underrated. You can only beat the best around at the time and he was an awful lot of fun to watch. A real action fighter.

I always thought young Foreman and Lewis would have been a magnificent fight. Foreman was a monster and Lewis was just so very good.

Hard to believe he was floored twice in the 4th round... and rarely discussed is the fact that he was pretty close to getting KOd again TWICE in the 5th round before bludgeoning Lyle to the canvas.

Here is inside right I'm talking about. Foreman had the entire fight planned. He was determined NOT to be the dope this time around!

The commentary is gold. You could hear the fear in their voices for Cooney's wellbeing.

And the "oooohhhhh" when Foreman hits Cooney with the left uppercut as soon as the fight restarted after Cooney unbelievably beat the first count.

"This fight's over, this fight's over."

Big George, my boxing hero. What a fighter.

He'd do good but I don't see him dominating as such.

With ease? LOL no. He could do well enough, however.

    Agreed.

The thing I see is George ruining some guys with his big shots. A lot of those 90's guys would never bounce back---and if they did not bounce back they certainly would never be held in the same esteem.

I don’t see anyone in the 90s beating Foreman except MAYBE Lewis.

Possibly but in a string of fights over multiple years they'd certainly be an awkward lot to say the least.

70s Foreman would be one amongst many dangerous boys in the 90s. He’d win his fair share of battles that’s for sure. If it all worked out,he could’ve met 90s Foreman for one of the belts!

Nah that’s just too weird…like something out of a Stephen King book!
