Would Eubank fancy Smith or Groves?

He showed what? Murray had him hurt at the end of the fight, Eubank is a much better offensive fighter than Murray. I'll stand by my predictions, he stops Groves late and beats DeGale on points.

 

Groves is one of my favorite UK fighters but I just wonder if CEJ's workrate gives Groves problems down the stretch. Would love to see them match up. I reckon it could be the same with Chunky. I think Groves not being tied to Boxnation or Sky makes it an easier fight to make on ITV.

 

Question to the guys who claim CEJ has a granite chin....when and whom against as he proven this theory?

Murray's plan was to take him to deeper waters and dominate the later rounds. He upped the pace but Groves withstood it and it was actually Groves who nearly finished him in the end. They were both shattered in round 12 but Groves saw it out.

Against Gutknecht he looked as strong in the 12th as he did throughout.

I'm sorry but I can't disagree more. He made hard work of an average, domestic level fighter in Quinlan because he didn't carry the same size and power at SM.

 

Murray looked poor throughout and still had Groves hurt at the end, Eubank is on another level stamina wise compared to both Groves and DeGale.

 

Based on what???? He's only been 12 rounds once and he lost.

He beat Chudinov in round 12 of a fight which should have been stopped many rounds earlier because of the accumulative one sided pasting he was dishing out.

 

Was it Murray's first fight at SMW as well? Like I said, I stand by my prediction.

 

No, he stepped up after the GGG fight. He fought several times before the Groves fight including the Arthur Abraham fight.

I'm a Murray fan. He's a big, strong middleweight who's lost them attributes stepping up to SM exactly like Eubank Jn in my opinion.

He needs to step down and fight the best at middleweight.

 

As much as I don't rate Eubank, I would have to agree with the other guy that he has much better stamina than both DeGale, Groves and also Saunders.

DeGale and Saunders in particular have very poor stamina, they can only fight their own style for 4-5 rounds max before gassing. Although DeGale does seem to get a 2nd wind during the 11th/12th rounds but Saunders does not.

Look at the scorecards for their most recent fights for example, Saunders loses almost every round after round 6 vs both Lee and Eubank. DeGale wins the first 3-4 rounds virtually everyone he has faced and then loses all the middle rounds as his output drops.

Groves perhaps isn't as bad stamina wise as those two but his stamina still isn't good, he has also has chin issues and some sort of mental block.

I think all Groves/DeGale/Saunders are better boxers than Eubank but Eubank physically in terms of stamina and endurance is the best of the lot.

 

I would love to see CEJ in with aleither Ricky Fielding or Paul Smith next as we would get an ideal level check in any such fight. From what I seen the other night at this moment any such fight I would not have him more than 50/50 to win at SMW at this very moment.

 

Totally agree with this mate. I'm convinced he wouldn't shine against them lads who are both a big step up from Quinlan.
