Yes, he probably would need a tune-up, and so he should. If he were to come back, there should be no whining if he took a tune up against a top 20-30 fighter (or even 2 tune-ups) before going after Pacquiao or another of the big guns.
I don't think so. Floyd is always in shape. He'd need about 3 months or so of good sparring to get sharp. I don't think ring time against an average fighter will help a fighter like Floyd. They won't test his sharpness nor will he have weight to get down to.
Not at all. I think Mayweather handles Manny with relatively ease at 147 or 140. It would barely be competitive.
Would he? No. Would I like to see him have a tune-up before potentially facing Pacquiao? Yes. I can't understand people that were glad he retired, I mean fair enough the guy's an arsehole and some, not all some, of his fans are annoying as ****, but the guy is a great fighter and a joy to watch if you appreciate his fluid style. How can you not want great fighters of this era to be active?
Exactly. And as soon as he starts being active against other great fighters at 147 the happier everyone will be. Coming back for Pac is a waste of time to me, a big event but it adds nothing to his legacy. Come back, fight Berto or Clottey as a tune up for the winner of Mosley V Cotto and then Williams and leave no doubt as to who the fighter of his generation is.
