Would Floyd survive a shot like this?

No....there's not manny Welters or Super Welters out there that could have. That was just the perfect shot at the perfect time in a rare occasion where Manny actually SAT DOWN on his shot. Manny threw a monster shot, but he normally is bouncing in and out...left to right...on his toes and throwing fast explosive combos but NONE have the grease he put on this bomb.

 

Nah.....maybe just as hard, but not harder. Plus the placement of that particular shot was right on the button. The one shane shook Floyd with was a hard shot that landed but wasn't the best placement possible....obviously b/c Floyd didn't go down. Shane has the power to sleep Floyd...he just didn't find the mark. Credit to Floyd.

 

That's a good question....If Manny ate that shot he could have went down or been out. I don't think we'll ever know though.

 

If you see it on a different angle, the shot is not wide. It's just that Hatton's chin was exposed.

The punch was coming from Pac's normal left recoil just as Hatton was going to engage.

It seems that Pac wanted to counter Hatton's left jab but just caught midway.

 

Doubt any current WW could've taken that punch, Hatton wasn't expecting it and he got hit right on the sweet spot.

 

It was one of the best one shot KO high light reels boxing has produced. I guess he did go a bit over board with describing how great it was.....but I agree with him.

 

Manny didn't finish off Cotto when he hit him with a big shot and Cotto retreats when hurt and doesn't hold or fight smart when hurt. How in the hell is he going to finish off a guy like PBF who knows how to fight hurt and recovers quickly?atsch The bigger question should be how will a guy like Pac who is wide open gonna survive clean counters and clean straight right hands he doesn't see.:deal Because we all know Pac is there to be hit.

That's not true Pimp. The shot Manny hit Floyd with was very hard, but a lot of the outcome had to do with the placement of the shot. He hit the chin right on the button where it automatically put the lights out.

There's a nerve that is behind the jaw bone and when the jaw shifts and touches that nerve you have no control over staying up past your bed time......the decision is out of the hands of the person eating that shot.

Not to say Manny would land a shot like that ever again but if he did....not matter who he was anywhere from 154 down is getting slept....including Floyd.

 

:good, Emmanuel isn't going to commit in one big AZZ punch like that where he pulls his left hand all the way back against a master counter-puncher. He would get the **** countered out of him.

In my years working as a doorman I worked with a few roid monsters. I witnessed one in particular who was always in the heat of fights get hit with huge shots and kept moving forwards. That was until one day a guy who was no bigger than 5'7 170lbs swung at hit him peach, right on the jaw line below the ear and the monster went down like the sack of **** he was.

If you get hit hard enough on the right spot it's goodnight, period.

 

I said the exact same thing when i watched it. I jumped up with the most serious face ever and said " He ****in killed Ricky!" I thought he was dead lol
