Now obviously Cotto winning a close UD against Mosley did wonders for his legacy but if Floyd wins a close one against Mosley also would it be damaging to his head to head standing due to Floyd being a much more skilled fighter than Cotto was?

    Dunno.

Did winning a SD over Oscar ruin it? I doubt it would really.

That Floyd/Oscar fight wasn't all that close to me. I gave Oscar three rounds, maybe four if I wanna be nice to Oscar.

a win is a win, and Shane is coming into this fight after a big win over Margo so i think if Floyd beats him even only by a round it will still be beneficial on his legacy

    that being said

    Shane MD12 Floyd :yep

I think if Mosley looks good, it helps Mayweather's legacy, even if it is a close fight. If Mosley looks slow or generally old, the fight being close would hurt Floyd, but it really all depends on how good Mosley is on the night.

If he turns up, puts out a good performance and loses, then Mayweather deserves a lot of credit.

This is what I wanted to say mu****a. :!:

Anyway, no I don't think a close decision would damage Mayweather's legacy. It would be a win vs a great fighter in Mosley, so the "W" would be pretty significant no matter what. Assuming Mayweather performs well and doesn't get some sort of a gift decision, that is.

Now I'm not making excuses in the event that Floyd wins but there are factors that are there such as Mosley being 38 years old and would be coming off a 16 month layoff by fight night and most would think that Floyd can do better than Miguel Cotto who won by close UD against Mosley.

    Do you follow now?
