i see your point, i just find it hard to compare how a pressure fighter utilizes his offense to a defensive counter puncher's O

at least we should get a good fight on May 1st

A win is a win, will do wonders for his legacy.

A Mosely win, followed by a Pac win would see Mayweather
go down as the best of his era.

A win over Mosely will start the ball rolling.

If Floyd gets over Mosely, a lot of ppl would still have
Pac ahead of Floyd in ATG status - Im not one, but most
ppl would have Pac ahead, so a Floyd Vs Pac fight would
put to rest who goes down as fighter of their era.

Before Floyd came back outta retirement, if someone hadve
said he is going to fight JMM, Mosely, then Pac, Im sure
most ppl wouldnt believe that, but credit to Mayweather for
putting things in motion to prove his critics wrong, I guess after
Mayweather gets through Shane and Pac - then rightfull retires,
by that time there will be another up and comer who ppl will accuse
    Mayweather of ducking.

I think Mosely has the best chance to beat Floyd, but probably wont.

Good post, and as far as the part I highlighted part, you made a good point that Floyd of now is past prime though still elite, while the November 2007 version of Cotto was at his absolute peak of his prime. And that version of Cotto was willing to take chances that Floyd might not take.

Personally, I gave the Mosely-Cotto fight to Mosely. Cotto has gotten a lot of love from the judges in certain fights. Mosely is still a great fighter, and any time a great fighter is beaten, it enhances your status.

That's cause you don't know how to score a fight for ****. I dare you to give me the seven rounds Mosley "won" so I can laugh at your bull**** scorecard and the only time Cotto got some "love" on the scorecards was in the Clottey fight which could have gone either way.

Yes, unless Mosley came out with that Tony Ayala like ferocity for 12 rounds.

    Not that one!

You are not as sarcastic before as now. Which is actually good. Next time use veiled sarcasm and fools won't even recognize it. ( See Pac is overrateD thread).

**** you. He lost the Mosely fight. It was close, but I had Mosely up by two points. Cotto-Clottey was close, but Joshua could have gotten the nod. I must have struck a nerve with you, Benny White.

To have mosley now or in his prime on your resume as a W is great period for any boxer.

Cotto won a convincing UD IMO.

Anyway, I don't think it'd be damaging to win by UD against Mosley. Mosley is tough guy regardless of his age. Then again, if and only if Mayweather decides to throw few punches around and run around the ring and doesn't even try to engaged Mosley (and by engaged I mean try to KO him), then he'll probably get a lot of **** from the fans. Hopefully it lives up to the hype that they made it to be.

People always ask these kind of questions before a fight and it's really too hard to answer until the actual fight takes place... Reason being, the answer to the question depends on what happens in the fight.

If Mosely turns up looking like a piece of ****, throws 20 punches per round, and sits in front of Floyd all night... AND Floyd still only wins a close decision... Then the answer to the question is probably yes.

On the other hand, if Mosely appears in good nick, throws 50-60 punches a round or more (although he'll be lucky to land 15, irregardless of the form he's in), and looks even remotely like he did against Margarito - then hell no does Floyd beating him in a close one hurt his legacy.
