    Yet Margo is slow as ****. Cotto hit him with everything in the book whenever he wanted, and Cotto lost because he tried to fight Margo head on. Mayweather can dodge/juke/survive 100X better than Cotto, and he will do nothing but land fast shots, and not get hit. I mean, I have a lot of respect for Margarito, he is a great champion. However, I feel Mayweather would destroy him.

    Floyd would have to use his wheels a lot more in this fight than usual because of Margarito's relentless pressure which also means Mayweather would have to sit on his punches more often to land. Like Bazooka said Floyd would have the upper hand for the first half of the fight, but eventually Mayweather would get worn down by Margarito's pressure.

    Floyd's hand held against Baldomir. YOu dont hurt your hands if you don't hit.

    I love Marg. but guys are underestimating Floyd. He's more skilled, smarter, faster, and has more guile than Cotto, and I think he's at least as tough. I see him boxing, occasionally mixing it up, and using that jab to the body to disrupt Margs. rhythm. Marg. will have to continually reset and just will not be able to apply his usual pressure. I see Floyd waiting for the results of the Williams, Marg., Clottey tourney and then taking on the winner.

    Please Floyd has never faced anybody like Antonio Margarito so all of that he has better speed more skilled and his ring smarts that may be true but it didnt help Cotto and it will not help Floyd, he doesnt have the work rate to keep Tony honest nor the power to go with it.

    and there it is...

    If Margarito's "style" is all wrong for Mayweather, how did Mayweather beat the slew of pressure fighters on his resume.

    Castillo(twice- like it or not)
    Gatti
    Hatton
    De La Hoya
    Baldomir

    All guys who thought that Floyd would break under pressure, all of them failed.

    What makes you think Margarito would be any different. I agree that "skill" is only a small part of the equation, but every thing else, including(but not limited to) the following;

    Defense
    Speed
    Upper body movement
    Lower body movement
    Ring awareness
    Agilty
    Accuracy
    Ring smarts

    Floyd is far superior in all the other aspects as well. So below you have what Margarito brings to the table;

    Size
    Chin
    Pressure.

    Has Floyd ever been the smaller guy fighting a granite chinned fighter before?

    All the ****ing time.

    Alright. But, admit you have less chance hurting your hand with one shot at a time (A la Baldomir)?

    No doubt it would be harder against Margarito. But we all know FLoyd can Pot shot for twelve rounds without being tired. The question is "Would Floyds hand hold up vs Margaritos head?" not "Would Floyd beat Margarito". I honestly dont think the hand would be a factor. Injured hand or not, Margarito would not be hurt.
